Arrived and ate at our hotel on Sunday, so wandered into Lamgeo for dinner on Monday. Big mistake...nothing is open by a few grubby cafes... came back Tuesday and couldn't find most of the recommended places to eat...so looked in here as a last resort. What a find... fabulous quality food and wine. I had haddock in saffron sauce, the wife had pork with chestnut puree and the daughter a great peppercorn steak... then the puddings...awesome and good value at 90 euros for the three of us.
In the Restaurant / Wine Bar we offer high quality gastronomic moments where you can find a varied range of dishes made with local and vintage products with certified quality.
A voltar e voltar!! Recomendo vivamente.

THIS IS NOT A RESTAURANT!!! We are a guest house who serve good meals mixed with portuguese culture in a real portuguese house. With us you don´t find a ROOM FULL of people or a FORMAL WAITER DEDICATED TO 20 CUSTOMERS, you have the attention that we dedic
My boyfriend and I visited on a quiet night in March, but Antonio gave us a warm welcome! I have many food allergies (gluten, egg, dairy, etc.) and he accommodated my needs with grace. He served us the best chorizo with pineapple, a nice meat dish, great wine, and a lovely gluten free dessert. It’s often so hard for me to find places I can eat, so it was a treat to visit! After, we had to pull out cash, so Antonio drove us to the ATM to get cash, and then he dropped us at our car. The service was insane! 10/10 would recommend! Thanks Antonio!Obrigado. Foi um prazer receber-vos. Foi muito bom ouvir o doce Português falado por vós.With love from Lamego, Portuga.
What a wonderful place! The Douro is the most spectacular scenery. Régua a great little town to visit. Lunch at the “Vista do Douro” was just what we looking for. Finally found peri-peri chicken after 2 weeks & it was so delicious. A whole barbecued chicken with chips & salad & piri-piri Molho sauce - just so delicious! We had a delicious rose’ wine Vinho Verde Casal Garcia - crisp & fresh! Perfect accompaniment. The bread & ives were delicious too. The 2 waitresses worked so hard the entire time & it was full of locals - so everyone in town loves the food too. Desserts ran out & a very kind guest gave me the white coconut dessert in a glass - it was so light and tasty too. Well done & Abrigado.Thank you for your opinion

We were searching up and down the alleys of Régua for somewhere to have lunch before boarding our boat, and were lucky to stumble upon Don Peppo. Once inside a much larger venue unfolded than could have been anticipated from the quite inconspicuous entrance. Many of the tables were already occupied by what I assume were locals. But even though we were just random visitors passing by town, we were treated with equal familiarity by the staff, which felt very good. The menu proved to be a well balanced mix of local specialties and international fare such as pizzas and pasta, and prices very reasonable to boot. Very satisfied we eventually left the restaurant for our river Douro tour.

The food was awesome but we got really ripped of on the snacks they placed on the table and didn't order. They charged us 28 euros for them (on top of our food order of course) !!!! I never had that happen to me in all my travels around the world. Of course they also charged us for the wine and water that they offered upon entry but I dont even mind that much even though it did feel like it was suppose to be part of hospitality since we didnt order it. Overall they really killed the enjoyment of the experience because it deft feels like we got ripped off. Very upsetting.

Modern platings of traditional Portuguese dishes were the highlight of the meal. A la carte offering allow guests to mix and match as they prefer. Large wine list, with a good selection of offerings by the glass. Service is disorganized and lacks professionalism, however. This place is busy due to its Michilin "plate" rating and reservations are recommended. Dinner service begins at 7:30 pm, although some web info states they are open from 10:30 am to midnight. No one on staff manned the door, so guests and potential guests were left standing around, unsure whether to help themselves to a seat or wait. Back terrace is pleasant although it overlooks the railway lines.

Modern restaurant inserted in the dock of CP, with a traditional but creative cuisine. It has in the Bísaro suckling pig its main dish.
SUS was recommended by our hotel as a great place for lunch and they were right! The best part was the wine pairing. The servers know their wines and now we do to!The breads were excellent as were the charcuterie and salads. Make this place a must if you are near Regua!Lots of parking nearby the train station...just remember to put a Euro in the parking meter!!
