Find out what Scandinavian restaurants to try in Tromso. The fjords and mountain ranges of Tromso are simply magical. Here, the northern lights sparkle across the same navy blue sky that's illuminated by the midnight sun. You'll be spellbound by Tromso's enchanting fishing villages, fragrant botanical gardens and crystalline waterfalls. Music is a major part of the Tromso culture, particularly techno and electronic music, which adds some thumping thunder to the city once a year during the annual Insomnia Festival.

We had to wait a while for the food, but it was well worth the wait! The tapas are wonderful, and it's an amazing sharing experience. The atmosphere is also very relaxing. The pricing is probably on par with most Norwegian restaurants, which isn't cheap, but this experience is well worth the price!

Dining at Emma's restaurant can be both intimate and formal, but, above all, homely and relaxing. Our kitchen uses the best local produce to create good and honest north Norwegian cuisine. We serve both lunch and dinner, with dinner being available on 3 d
We had heard about this place and had luckily booked a table in advance. It was quite busy, lots of tourists celebrating New Years in Tromsø. The service was good and the food was very delicious. Our high expectations were met and we will go back if weâre ever in this city again.

Great menu, exatly what you should expect from a restaurant at island in the middle of Norwegian fjord. I went for ingredients I had not previously tried, and was not disappointed. Excellent service, excellent interior, excellent tastes.

Popped in for drinks and had a few cocktails - tried the mussels (delicious) and the oxtail nuggets (small but delicious). Quirky decor, check out the loos! Served by the very attentive restaurant manager Joanne. Great fun evening, made memorable by talking with Joanne and watching her cocktail prowess. Ginger daiquiri and the dead cat ale were both to die got. Def worth a visit.

Arriving on a belated Hurtigruten from North at 0:30 and have not eaten anything since an early brekkie this place 'saved my life'. Their baked potatoes are recommended but I needed a burger. Of course the burger was delicious given the circumstances but I felt that the meat was very good too. Service was very friendly, fun and welcoming. Would do it again. Nobody has to starve late at night in Tromsø.

The tiniest bar in the universe, serving local hot dogs and beer and more.. Placed on the town square of Tromsø in 1911, and have been in business since. Loved by locals as well as travelers. Welcome!
For the place being so famous the pølse was okay, not special. We ordered one normal and one with reindeer - both came normal. Ah well. I expected something different, maybe in terms of sauces? The spicy wasn't spicy.

Very comfortable and cosy place. Loved the design of the interior, the overall atmosphere but more than anything the excellent food. Very limited menu (6 courses in total if I well recall for Dinner) but I personally tried the Reindeer Tagliata and was absolutely delicious. Very good dessert as well. Prices are High but no more than average. Actually even slightly under the standard for Tromso (where prices are higher than Southern Norway places). Recommended!

Attracted by the amount of great reviews, I decided to try this 5 stars restaurant in Tromsø. Although I am not a great lover of nouvelle cuisine, I must say that I was convinced by this restaurant and.... had more than enough excellent food during the dinner. The deco is more than simple but the warm welcome by the owner and the staff gives you an excellent feeling right from the start. The staff is very friendly and super efficient throughout the dinner. The menu will make you discover the local specialties and is strictly based on the local ingredients available at the time of your visit. The selection of wine is also very good. The price is certainly not exaggerated for the quality and the diversity of the dishes you receive. Well done to this sympathetic couple who created this restaurant! You can go there without fear, you will not be disappointed. NB. Suggest you make a reservation as the number of table is rather limited.
