I have now been to the Water Margin a couple of times, with my sister, who lives in Coleraine and with a friend when we're up hiking on the North coast. We called in yesterday after a hike from Dunseverick to Giant's Causeway in scorching heat and the air conditioning was a welcome relief. When we arrived it was just after opening time and we were greeted and seated immediately. We were offered drinks and shortly afterward food orders were taken. The food was very good and arrived quickly, and the staff were all friendly and welcoming. Rhonda, our main waitress, remembered us from a previous visit and, same as the that time, was able to organise an extra spicy dish for me. I'm not in Coleraine often but when I am I like to pay the Water Margin a visit, friendly staff great food, and views out over the River Bann from most of the tables. Good prices too. As Arnie would say 'I'll be back'.

I popped in with my two kids as one of them was hungry and it was right beside Dunluce Castle, where I wanted to get some photos of them. The service was prompt and polite, and the raspberry roulade was amazing!! My youngest devoured a beautifully presented cheese and ham sandwich, while my eldest enjoyed her cup of tea. This wasnât my first visit here, and it certainly wonât be my last.

I nipped in to get a sandwich and a coffee in a rush one evening. Sarah Jane and Caroline were so nice, one made the sandwich and the other got my coffee just to quicken things up. They could easily have turfed me out as it was very close to home time but they were very chatty and pleasant. Chicken salad baguette and latte was lovely -- even if I did have to eat it 'on the move'. Will def stop here again. Thanks ladies!
