Denvir's is an old Coaching Inn dating from 1642. It is full of old world charm and is popular with both tourists and locals, so you will enjoy a real County Down welcome and fit right into the community. Food is served all day from breakfast through to d
We had a nice meal with reasonable service (although waiter did not come back to check on meal). The fish and chips was not as good as we have had at pubs so at this place, order something different. My pasta was delicious. The dining room is nice location for quiet conversation.Hi Barbara,Thank you for the review and please accept our apologies on two counts. Our waiter absolutely should check back, we'll be having words, and our fish and chips, usually, are the best in the area. You should have not been disappointed, and if the waiter had been carrying out their duties properly, this could have been addressed. So, please accept our sincere apologies.I'm glad everything else was good, and I'm glad you enjoyed the restaurant. The building dates from 1642 and originally, what is now the restaurant would have been the kitchen, hence the 17th century fireplace etc.Kind RegardsChris

Visited her on a social night out organised for 23 people which were the numbers rang through. On the night one other adult came and they were informed of this (for charging purposes). On settling the bill, we were produced with a bill for 29 people. We didn't have 29 people eat. The manager argued with my sister who organised it. I was aware the owner was on the premises so I requested to speak with him and at half 11 at night (when he was in the kitchen) he said he was too busy to talk to us but he catered for 29 and they counted 29 plates in the kitchen. That was because there was food left over and the staff then put the additional food on plates and spread it out amongst the tables. The management actually stood and argued with me in front of a bar full of people. As it was getting incredibly embarrassing and we had a doctor on call who needed to go to work, we paid the amount for 29 people which was a big mistake and left. After having paid we even counted the amount of places around the table and there only were 26 places even available for people to sit. An awful attitude for a place that has a lot of potential. I was warned to expect this style of custom from the owner before we arrived but will certainly ensure the word is spread and won't be back near the place. Lovely Christmas spirit I must say!

Beautiful 120 seater Restaurant set within the grounds next to the Downpatrick Cricket grounds, with ample parking. Providing great food and a comfortable dining atmosphere, We also cater for a large range of events in our two function rooms.
We dropped into the Quoile Bistro for Sunday dinner, after finishing our Game of Thrones tour in the locality. The restaurant itself is akin to a country club, set in picturesque surroundings.Inside is spotlessly clean. The decor is modern, bright and tasteful. Our seating was comfortable and the view was outside was pleasant to say the least. On the Sunday of our visit there was a three course set menu with lots of options to choose from. For starters we both opted for the honey chilli chicken and it was delicious.I had the turkey and ham for main course and my partner had the roast beef. The food arrived promptly, and piping hot. The meat was cooked to perfection, and we both really enjoyed our meals. Desserts were also lovely, and we finished with a couple of Irish coffees that were made perfectly. Good food and plenty of it, reasonably priced in a beautiful location. We enjoyed our visit to the Quoile Bistro, and will definitely return. Highly recommended.
