There are a number of dining areas in this restaurant / pub so your experience may differ depending upon which one you choose. We were seated upstairs close to the kitchen which was interesting with lots of nice smellsThe menu is very varied from pizza to steaks and all the food was nicely presented and tasted goodPrices were reasonable although the wine list was a little limited and slightly expensive
In a row of take-aways and fast food purveyors, you could easily walk past this unobtrusive restaurant. You will rarely find it empty because people always know where to find good food at a very reasonable price. They do a healthy breakfast, a tasty lunch and everything else in between. Would I recommend it? 100%!

Ive been here twice now and i cant speak highly enough about this place. Its always busy and we had heard good things before going ourselves so we had high expectations. Every single member of staff have been so friendly and accommodating on both visits, quickly finding us tables and making room for my pram and bringing a seat for my toddler. The servers were so lovely to my daughter, got her comfortably seated and brought crayons to keep her occupied Our orders were taken and the good arrived in no time at all. Portion sizes very generous and food was delicious- can recommend any of the breakfasts, really tasty! The meals are very reasonably priced. We have recently moved to the area and we will most definitely be back.
Bright but homely with a shabby chic feel about it, Wallace & Donut serves up smooth beautiful coffee and selection of homemade traybakes, scones, cakes icecream and hot savoury dishes and of course fry up breakfasts. Gluten-free and veggie options aplent
Great little cafe with a wide choice of freshly made food. Great cosy atmosphere with friendly and obviously caring staff. It's a breath of fresh air in Lisburn and a completely welcome contrast to the usual run-of-the-mill high street cafe. Give it a try!

Stumbled upon this place by accident as always just drove passed and never gave it much thought go in. So glad we did as itâs lovely inside (the restaurant part- not the bar!) Staff friendly, knowledgeable and helpful and the food was excellent. Decor of restaurant was lovely and really clean too. Not a great choice of places to go in Lisburn but Would highly recommend this place. Thanks 158 mcm.The team at The Crafty Hound are so pleased you had such a great experience. Thanks also for the compliments about restaurant decor. The bar and Pool Room have been totally refurbished and we are very pleased with it.We hope you will call in soon and enjoy the new surroundings.

ROBERT STEWARTS SPIRIT GROCERS is located on a narrow country road that threads its way out of the leafy glades of south Belfast via the Upper Malone precinct. The road continues onwards in the general direction to the town of Lisburn which in recent year
Called in for lunch on Saturday which is not really unusual for us as regular visitors.Lunch was fab as always and great menu choice. Served by fast and efficient staff. Great place to meet up with friends in a quirky little pub with big atmosphere. Craic is mighty, as they say! What saddens me are reviews that don't describe the place and vibe too accurately. As grown up reviewers you would think that people could turn the other cheek if you have a personality clash with someone? I thought as you got older this was easier to do? But, obviously not for some.Hi Willash88 Sure it's nice to be nice and twice as nice to know how to be nice. That stated your observation re " reviews that don't describe a venue and vibe too accurately"-----is on the money. This as opposed to opinion on or about other homo sapiens-- who work in a premises but may not be on duty at the time of a visit of other patrons or indeed perhaps no longer employed at the premises is a "bum steer". Thank you for your input

Set in the lovely village of Hillsborough, in rural county Down and named after the hare, hara is a reflection of the countryside around it. Working closely with local farmers and growers, chef owners Andy Turner and Roz Allen have an impressive pedigree
Was trying to find somewhere nice for lunch and remembered reading about here in local paper and wasn't disappointed. Only wanted something small but that didn't matter as service was excellent and nice atmosphere. The corn fed chicken dish was to die for, roasted individually and worth the wait. Will definitely be back for more. Very reasonable for the quality.

We visited today as a family of three for Sunday lunch, and as usual the food was fantastic. The staff are friendly and prompt, and we enjoyed sitting near a roaring open fire. We had the spicy chicken wings and the chicken liver pate to start, and roast dinners for main while my son went for the Jamaican Jerk chicken sandwich. My husband is a chef and was impressed by the roast dinners - proper gravy made from scratch, gorgeous creamy mash and nice presentation. Weâll definitely be back again soon!

The Tap Room is a unique venue for any event from Barbeques to Formal Dining. A working brewery with a Licensed Restaurant in a beautiful and historic georgian setting at Hilden House which is located in the village of Hilden just off the main Belfast/Lis
Wife & I were in the Lisburn area but wanted to avoid the usual town centre traffic, so for the first time picked the Tap Room for lunch. Started with a tasty selection of breads, olives & dips. Wife had steak & ale pie, and crisp pork belly for me. Both were well cooked and presented, and good value. Only downside was that I was driving and so couldnât sample the breweryâs craft beers. Upside of that is the excuse to pay a repeat visit, with the wife driving next time!

The first waitress, long dark hair and swarthy skin, came over and took the order which arrived promptly.I requested skimmed milk but semi skimmed arrived as apparently they donât do skimmed milk! Pity the waitress didnât know! My scrambled eggs were swimming in water and were so close to white they looked like porridge. The second waitress was so helpful and pleasant and took them away to remove the water. They returned just the same so the waitress offered to drain them herself. She obviously did her best but they still had water in them. Completely tasteless! However the other three meals were very good with no complaints.I watched the first waitress look at our empty plates and didnât bother to clear the table, leaving it for the next available waitress. This same waitress sat and chatted with a customer while my friend stood waiting to order afternoon tea. She ignored my friend, let her stand about and only acknowledged her when I approached. Not much work in this woman and personality minus! Lucky the rest of the staff were lovely.Thank you for your feedback. We pride ourselves on the quality of our coffee. In order that the natural fats in milk are not burned during the process of heating/ frothing milk, it is imperative that only semi and full fat milk are used to ensure quality. We do this under the advise from the roastary from which our coffee beans are harvested and supplied. E.g. Skinny Latte (semi skimmed milk)Latte (Full fat) We apologise for the misunderstanding, but hope we have provided more clarity for you surrounding this issue. We are sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your scrambled eggs. The next time you visit please make yourself known and we will aim to provide you with breakfast on the house. As for our waitresses, in order to ensure the smooth running of the tea room, each one, whilst perhaps unbeknownst to our customers is playing a different role. For example one will be responsible for orders, another for drinks and cutlery, another for clearing tables and so forth. Each one will endeavour to see to your needs within their role as quickly as possible. With regards to your final comments, as well as being a Tea Room, our business has a great number of patrons who become more than simply an order to us. it is not uncommon for our staff to briefly chat to such patrons, as a matter of fact, we feel it is an important part of their job. We trust that it is evident that we are a small family business who value a personable approach. Finally should you wish to book an Afternoon Tea this must be booked in advance by telephoning 02892638099 or by booking at the till area located near the entrance.
