Really disappointed. Sat down got our menus then could not attract three young Waitresses, more interested in gabling.Ordered roast beef salad with wheaten bread, and chicken burger meal with tea. After ten minutes or so my salad arrived minus the wheaten bread and the ordered salad cream. Wheaten bread came, then later they brought caesar dressing instead of salad cream. Eventually got it changed. The salad was so small compared to normal. But worse was to come. The burger meal arrived after 15 minutes and guess what it was a beefburger not the chicken burger meal ordered. The waitress offered no explanation but took the meal away chips and all. They stuck the chips under the hot plate, instead of preparing a fresh meal. My friend was now hungry so asked for them back.Fifteen minutes went by and no chicken burger,so he went up to the counter to ask the young girl, who asked a front of house chef. He was extremely rude and unhelpful. Replying '' it's coming naow!''.So it took 15 minutes to get a replacement chicken burger. Tea was now cold and they brought my friend no cutlery after taking it away earlier.Took 45 minutes at least to get the meals completed. When I went to pay and complain the young girl could give no discount and manageress had gone and no one in authority was there. She took my phone number to pass on to manageress.Food was ok but much smaller portions than usual, terrible waiter service and complete cock up in every aspect of our visit.Such a shame for what used to be a buzzing great venue.

Rang to reserve a table as we had a large party. Lady of phone very helpful. When we arrived , we were seated and our orders taken. Staff were all very pleasant and jolly. Huge portions and dinner was lovely and reasonably priced. Went into cheeky monkeys after, got reduced rate as we ate in restaurant. It was manic, kids and adults everywhere, parties everywhere. Huge area and the kids had a ball, and we had a nice adult conversation. The climbing wall was a huge hit, but the bells at the top are very loud. Its very large play area. It could do with a good revamp, it looks very run down, paint work , toilets etc Plenty of staff working also.

Made a planned stop in Rathfriland to meet up with someone and chose The Old George for our lunch after walking around the town. We wanted a quaint pub and this fit the bill. The people in the pub were very friendly. We hadn't been able to find the person I town we were looking for so we mentioned his name to the lady behind the bar. She said she knew him and promptly phoned him to say there were two Canadian ladies in the pub looking for him. It was great, we sure appreciated it. Had a filling tasty lunch, price was good and a cold lager. I'd stop there again if in the area. I saw where someone said it was dark etc, well it is but I thought it to be part of the pub charm that we love.

Popped in spare of the moment and wish we hadn't bothered! Girl took our drinks order then gave us menu that stated carvery- roast beef, turkey, ham, lamb. Spuds and 'selection of vegetables' we went to get out food which was pre sliced beef which was so fatty that I went for turkey which again already sliced with ham and stuffing (was no good for the children who hate stuffing and ham) the only veg on offer was cabbage and cauliflower cheese so my turkey was nice enough but the children's beef was so tough and full of fat they couldn't eat it, the spuds were hard so they were wasted also. My husband decided not to take any from the moment he saw the meat. Our drinks still hadn't came so off to the bar where the girl was drinking her own drink had said she had totally forgot. When the drinks finally arrived, had to send husbands drink back as the glass was full of lipstick! We decided to give up and asked for the bill- which we had also been charged for 2 adults even though hubby didn't take any! There was only 3 other families in there so I don't know how it would work on a busier day. We won't be back which is a shame because when we visited last year it was perfect!

We reserved a table online which was great.Waitress was very attentive and helpful.Prompt with taking drink/food order.Could not fault service.Food was but disappointing, it wasn't very warm. I had goujons and they didn't seem fresh. The fish and chips was ordered--Peas were cold and fish quite greasy. No complaints with chicken curry.

My husband and I had lunch here recently and we were quickly seated and our order taken. The servers were very friendly and our food was brought out in a timely manner. Truthfully, the food was just ok - it was nothing special. It wasnât bad - just nothing to write home about. We both ordered the steak sandwich and the best thing I can say is that the gravy was very tasty and made the steak and fries taste much better!Dear Stephanie D Thank you for sharing your experience with us. I am delighted that you found the staff and efficiency good in our Granary Bar. I am disappointed to read that you found the food just ok, as we take great pride in offering the highest quality to our customers. I will certainly bring this to the attention of our head chef and can only apologise that it was not up to the usual high standards. I do hope this would not deter you from returning and thank you for making us aware. Warm RegardsOrla HayesMarketing Manager

As the name might suggest, this venue was once a bank, but don't imagine a transformed local branch of Northern Bank this is a grand, towering building with ornate ceilings and has been restored to its former glory, encompassing some original features, an
Visited The Bank Bar today for our family Sunday lunch. Service was fantastic and the food was outstanding, I had the roast beef with all the trimmings but the whole group were very impressed with their selection, steak sandwiches, burgers and Prawns. Definitely be back!

Went on a recommendation, so was looking forward as had heard only good things. Kitchen very slow as requested dinner first to pacify child, but didn't happen and when asked again it still wasn't ready. Had fillet steak and disappointed, as definitely over, but waited too long on it to send it back. Other family members disappointed with their selection also. Had to go downstairs to use baby changing facilities, but decided against this as toilets were disgusting. Wouldn't go back.
