Red Sands is ideally located between Kuruman and Kathu, offering an excellent stop-over point for travellers heading to Namibia, the West Coast or the Kgalagadi National Park.
Everything was lovely except bed was too hard for us. We had dinner of kingklip and it was delicious. Saturday night buffet was rather expensive for us as we are elderly and have small appetites. we have stayed at Redsands many times and have always enjoyed our stay

We found this to be a great place to stay over while travelling through. The rooms were clean and neat as was the Lodge. Most of all we enjoyed the dining room and some really good food. I would go back for sure!

Very neat and tidy, but more importantly, very comfortable and well equiped, with everything you need for an overnight stay on the long road trips to your destination. I have no complaints, plan to stay here again in the future.

I booked a night away for my family, three adults, two children. Upon entering the unit we were met with a horrible smell. It turned out to be the fridge. Absolutely disgusting. We called housekeeping and they came to clean the fridge, which helped. In the evening when trying to have a bath, we had no hot water. The night manager kindly assisted us by giving us access to the unit next to us. This was lovely, but we booked our unit because it had 2 bathrooms, so it was still inconvenient for all of us having to share the one bathroom. Nobody could sleep during the night as there were at least three bats flying about, with feces and urine falling and dripping on us, and mice scuttling about, squeaking loudly. We ended up leaving at 4 am. I suspect this was a long unused unit (just judging by the smell of the fridge) and it has not been properly inspected before we checked in. The only reason I am giving two stars is because the staff did try and assist us with the fridge and the lack of hot water. It was a horrible experience.
