Superb atmosphere in a nice location in the city centre, in the same building as Hotel Salta. Food is nice, portions huge and we got excellent service from the very friendly waiter Charly. No menus in English, but thankfully he spoke good English so he could help us translate. Kamaleone, good morning. I want to thank you for your kinds words and for take your time to write about us. We'll work in our english menu, cheers!

Bad Brothers Wine Experience is the wine lover's headquarters in Cafayate. A vibrant wine bar and full service restaurant serving international and Argentine cuisine. Bad Brothers is dedicated to celebrating the regions high and extreme altitude wines. We
We visited the place twice, because we really liked it. Itâs kind of a tapas concept where you can share different plates if you want. The menu offers different food options than in other places, but still traditional, which is a good change. Service is very friendly. If you have the chance to visit in summer, you will enjoy a beautiful backyard area. We would definitely come back!

La Cefira is a homemade pasta restaurant. We offer fresh, original and high quality pasta. Also we have salad, meats, fish, seafood and vegetarian food.
We were looking forward to pasta after rather a lot of steaks while travelling in Argentina so found this little Italian style restaurant. However it was not like any Italian restaurant because the confusing menu listed all sorts of pasta then a separate list of sauces. Italians would always choose the correct sauce for a particular pasta and this menu made it very hard to choose a good meal. The pasta was ok when we had finally worked out how to choose it, but the atmosphere was very flat and our meal was only ok.

Ma Cuisine Resto proposes dishes for every taste with the uncomparable touch of french cuisine. Salta, Argentina.
What a gem! We ordered French and we were rewarded. Instead of a slab of beefsteak, Argentine-style we chose beef bourgogne. Two big balls of the tastiest beef appeared, plenty for two of us to share. We also shared scalloped potatoes or in French, pommes dauphinoises. It was incredible: substantial but not too rich. The green salad and pear tart (tarte tatin) with vanilla ice cream were just right. It has a huge list of red wines organized by winery. I took a stab at a malbec which cost about $15 USD. Aftet 30 minutes of breathing it matched what a 75 euro bordeaux would cost in Paris. The place is really cute with all menus on chalkboards. We want to return soon to try other items on this creative menu.Thank you very much for your words, you are very kind, we wait for you soon.

We went there just for a change from the steaks and a bit of fine dining...We had two guys looking after us, one was tall and lovely and making a bit of an effort with us; the other guy who was looking after the drinks was just rude and had no interest to be there. The food was just ok! I suppose we got really excited about having a few vegetables after a while eating potatoes. Our starter was nice (the prawns) and colourful. The main course were so so average....The selection on the menu was not great so my husband ended up having a steak with chips; that was just an expensive steak with chips or average quality...nothing fancy at all. I had the pork which was nice and that came with mashed sweet potatoes..I had to ask what the mash was as it looked and tasted awful, I just could not eat it.Dessert was the volcano de chocolate, and again very average,...Overall that was a big disappointment; the place was very quiet even though we came in late. There was nothing fancy about the decor nor the food. I would not recommend this place which is way too overrated!

We have been to so many wine tastings in Mendoza and Italy and appreciate learning about the individual wines. The three of us had a tasting reservation with 5 different wines. The gentleman who presented the wines was very hurried and basically told us this wine was from their winery in Mendoza and this one was from Cayafate. Yes, we could taste the difference but it seemed to be a competition for Cayafate to be the winner. We were not told about the distinct qualities of each wine. We were done in a very short time in this whirlwind tasting. There were no others in the wine tasting room and we did have a reservation but it seemed like he truly didn't care.We learned that the owners, Jon and Arlene Malinski, are from Minnesota where we live. They bought the winery several years ago when it was in disrepair and built this very modern and beautiful winery. We were told that they are thinking/planning to build a hotel on property. We did buy a bottle of their Malbec. The region has the hot sun and the cold nights in one of the highest altitudes for wine making.

Restaurant familiar. Comidas caseras.
The pastas - home-made by the owner Luis - are great. In addition, the portions are large and the price reasonable. I saw him making the Tiramisu this afternoon. I came back in the evening for this dessert. Heavenly and again a generous portion! The restaurant opens for dinner at 8:30 pm.

What a delightful place to stop for lunch! We sat at a table outside shaded by giant pepper tree. The patio is in a central courtyard surrounded by the adobe built hotel. It has such a wonderful ambience. This traditional hacienda, which dates back to the 18th century was home to the last governor of Salta appointed by the King of Spain. It is directly across the street from the townâs 17th century church. We learned that Molinos used to be part of the Inca Road. Our lunch naturally included empanadas. We had to try them in every town we visited in Northwest Argentina. These did not disappoint. Very good! We also have become accustomed to drinking a red wine with lunch as well so we enjoyed a nice local Valle de Molinos Malbec from Finca Humanao. For our main course we had the smoked pork shoulder with smashed potatoes and Sorrentinos (a ravioli like pasta) stuffed with lamb and veggies topped with a garlic, basil tomato sauce. Everything was excellent including the garlic bread. Service was excellent. We highly recommend you stop here!

Restaurant La Rosa is framed between Bodega El Esteco and the gardens of Patios de Cafayate Wine Hotel. Offering a unique culinary experience, uniting the Contemporary cuisine with northern products, where the wines from the winery are great actors. Open
We dined twice at the hotelâs outdoor restaurant overlooking the garden, pool and mountains whilst staying at the hotel. On both occasions our dinners were very good. A surprisingly good appetizer was the Mollejas Crocantes, crispy sweetbreads served over fresh greens. Had it two days in a row. Where in the world did the name sweetbreads come from?! On the first night I ordered the Langostinos appetizer as my main course which was served over a salad of mixed greens. It was great. My boyfriend had the fish of the day. I think it was Pacú which was also very good. For dessert we had the wine poached pear with ice cream and the Chocolate Lava cake. We had glasses of the house white and red with our dinners. On the second night we had the Ojo de Bife (rib-eye) that was grilled perfectly and the Fettuccine Caseros, homemade pasta with a few vegetables and goat cheese sauce. They were both pretty good. Had the house wines again. The red was much better the second night. Service on both evenings was very good.Dear Deborah, Thank you very much for your detailed comments! We are pleased to know you enjoy with us!Regards, La Rosa en Patios de Cafayate Wine Hotel
