The large city of Iasi has been a cultural and political hub since the 15th century. Everything orbits the Golden Plateau, bookended by the Palace of Culture and Union Square, and packed to the brim with churches and palaces galore. Iasi has significant Jewish history. The first Yiddish-language newspaper was published here, and the 17th-century Great Synagogue is the oldest surviving synagogue in Romania.

I ate many times at this restaurant with friends and family, and we all loved it! On the ground floor it looks like a regular restaurant, but on the first floor the restaurant is decorated in Arabic style, and they play Arabic music. At night they also have quality entertainment, with belly dancers. The food is always great, especially the mixed plateau (with falafel, baba ghanouk, hummus, tabuleh and cheese), and the grilled shrimp.

Restaurant
We were a group of people booked there consisting of people from Romania, Poland, Italy, Lithuania, Norway, and Portugal. The Italians were impressed by the pasta- just like home!, the Portuguese were extremely satisfied with the HUGE rib steak they got, the octopus was tender like butter etc etc. All in all we were all very satisfied with the presentation, food quality, and service. They have wine tastings as a possibility, which we will definitely order next time.
If you are a meat lover this is a place to try. However, even if you request a well done steak you receive it medium rare (at least that happened in my case). If you like a desert afterwards this is not the place to go due to the scarce options.

Italian Restaurant located in Palas Mall, Iasi. Elegant design, excellent service and the best italian food in town.
One of the few places in Iasi where I eat, since they serve good food, as opposed to most restaurants in Iasi which aren't too tasty, or the staff acts as if they're bothered by your presence there. The food here is good, not amazing, but good, which for Iasi is a huge thing, we have lots of restaurants here, but they are most of the times mediocre or below.. The staff is very polite and friendly, and the mood of the restaurant is coasy. Definitely my favorite restaurant in Iasi.

Grilling to perfection is not a goal, it's a MUST ! A wide variety of carefully selected meats including fish, seafood, chicken, pork & beef, prepared exclusively in Josper ovens, cold & hot starters, pastas and scrumptious desserts all served into a very
The pasta and the soup were bland. The only great thing about the food was the dessert and the grilled meat. But you can go to other places to get better grilled meat at better prices. All in all, a pretty disappointing experience. Also, the service was slooow.

The Cin Cin story walks you through 4 countries, with some of the most representative dishes, made from custom recipes. We care about the appearance, taste, smell, we follow every step when preparing the dishes, and try hard to induce you in an internatio
The place is great, in an old jewish sort of pallace/castle, right in the city center; the food was also good, the staff needs more field related training. Being a very pricey restaurant for the city of Iasi, the waiters need to pay more attention to the way they take care of their customers and potential customers. We were many and therefore treated quite well, cannot say the same about two people entering the restaurant without a reservation. They were so rude rushed out by the waiter though the restaurant was empty.

This is an informal restaurant with a great variety of dishes. We had a completely vegetarian dinner, which was not super innovative but really great in all other aspects. Very tasty. Wine list are also very okay. We had a Lebanese blanc de blanc that was very nice.

If you like fish, then you should not miss this restaurant! If you don't, then you mightht leave hungry from here, as it's all about fish here. We had a fish soup and some fish dishes, wih several fish and seafood inside. What I didn't like was that most of the fish is fried in oil (therefore a little greasy) and they don't use the grill that much (I prefer grilled instead of fried fish).

Located in the center of the city, Il Pellicano restaurant it's a small family business, created from the passion for cooking.
the pizza is ok, if you choose form the menu something else, you may have a surprise.pasta, meat or the desert - not really at the level of expectation for a restaurant pretending to be Italian. we were several times and tried different meals, so it was not a one stand, but really, pizza is good, for the other choices, don't expect much.
