We called in there approx 9pm last night not expecting to fine the kitchen still open. Waitress very friendly & helpful. Our food excellent. We were there for an hour, staff still very obliging.. we asked if they could call us a cab to take us back to Takapuna.... we waited for up to 3/4 hr. no taxi arrived. Then the owner of Manka kindly offered to drive us to Takapuna... we are so grateful to him for doing so. He told us the long hrs he works & he still had time to help complete strangers. We thank you again for your very kind gesture. Wishing you your family the very best...

We only had burgers and fries but they were great! Service can be a little slow but the atmosphere more than makes up for it. Devonport is a great little tourist mecca in New Zealand which offers a great variety of shops, restaurants and souvenir spots. We enjoyed our meal before catching the ferry back to Auckland.

RAMEN TAKARA is not your typical Japanese restaurant, instead of featuring tempura or sushi, we put our heart and effort into our ramen and rice dishes. We even make our own noodles everyday using the finest flour, mineral water and fresh eggs. Whether you are picking up a meal on the go, having a family dinner, or enjoying a drink with your friends, this is the right place to enjoy the refreshing and plesant dining experience. Bookings are not essential but we recommended that you make a booking in advance to avoid disappointment, especially on weekends!
If you are after authentic tasting ramen then you must go to Ramen Takara but make sure you get there early or book a table for big group because the place is always packed! Tan-tan ramen is the one of the best tasting ramen in their menu that I’ve tried. Two top side dishes worth trying: Agedashi tofu and pork gyoza side dishes are worth trying too.

Al Forno Italian Restaurant in Auckland serves traditional Italian dishes along with a excellent selection of wine, beer and non alcoholic beverages.
For a few years now I’ve had a friend recommend to go here but just haven’t made around to actually doing so, but have dined all around everywhere else in Takapuna. The food tonight was absolutely amazing. The stand out meal for me tonight was the calamari. The flavours and perfectly cooked calamari is really hard to find
And it was delish. I also want to say that the staff were fantastic. Everyone was engaging when you looked at them, the service was on point. I’m excited to recommend this place to my friends and to bring my work here for another Friday for some cold beers and amazing pizzas. Great place with better food and even better staff.

Deep Creek Brewing Co. is a throw back to the days when you could head down to your local village, hang out with great friends, drink exciting brews, and eat fantastic food. All in an environment which exuded the timeless value of fine, hand-crafted quality. All our beer is made onsite in gleaming stainless steel tanks, on display behind the bar for you to see. We are situated beside the beach in beautiful Browns Bay, Auckland, with amazing views of the harbour and Rangitoto. So come down and try our fantastic flavour fuelled brews and eats, crafted for flavour obsessed mates.
I've travelled from Australia to be part of this lunch and how brilliant it was.
The staff are fantastic, the selection of beers is brilliant and the good is exceptional for such a low key venue. Scotch fillet was sensational and perfectly cooked, with chefs accommodating special request for "Carpet Bag" style.
Thoroughly impressed with everything about this place and can't wait to enjoy some more fabulous hospitality before flying back to Aussie.
Cheers crew. Great stuff indeed

Business meal with my wife's work colleagues. This place was a real surprise. Great service, great wines but the food........wow, I loved it. In fact every one at our gathering, around 10 people, loved the food.
My wife and I were traveling around NZ, working and travelling and we ate in fantastic place's.
Even after a couple of months, I am still trying to replicate their Cauliflower mash.....amazing place....

Had the breakfast here (scrambled eggs, bacon, toast). It was absolutely delicious. The service was very very good (can't remember his name - young Polynesian man) and overall experience great. Tokyo Bay is located beachside, on Auckland's famous Takapuna Beach. Our Japanese team serve modern, not fusion, Japanese cuisine, of the highest standard.
Although when we arrived the restaurant was busy and appeared somewhat chaotic this soon settled down and the the service was excellent - as was the food, probably the best Japanese food that I have ever had.
If I was to have a criticism it would be that the loud music from the restaurant next door did impinge in this restaurant.

I have heard so many good things about this place that we decided to try it out for lunch.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. My daughter is a vegan and it was pleasing to see so many choices for her. We all enjoyed our food. Definitely a quaint little cafe that has a very popular reputation. Would happily go again.

The setting is really nice. Great lighting in the restaurant and the decor was great.
The pricing is also very reasonable. Four of us are a decent meal for $140.
However the food was very average. The flavours were very one dimensional and it felt like they have tried to put a little twist on some dishes. I had the pork belly, it was diced up, soggy and there was no crackling. All the dishes were just so average.
On top of that I felt the staff were over attentive. We sat and chatted after our meal. And it felt like the staff were trying to push us out of the restaurant despite there being many available tables around us.
It's not terrible but I won't spend my money here again.
