The location itself isn't that bad, tho outside centre, it offers many parking space which is still very convenient. The house itself has a very nice old German flair as well as the interior. The food is pretty good. We had 4 courses started with a duck breast salad, then champagne mustard soup. Roastbeef as main and sorbet as dessert. Pretty full afterwards. The service is actually quite nice tho the waitress had a smoker breath which I think is totally out of space. The service craft shouldn't smoke during work.

We had the best time and a great meal at Brauereiausschank Frankenheim. The band had the place rocking with everyone's favourites. Meal sizes we generous and the food tasted just like Grandma makes. The Alt beer was very nice also. Because we visited around the time of Oktoberfest the service was a little slow and seemed to favour the locals. Nevertheless, a great time was had.

I ordered wild game goulash with ribbon noodles and apple compote from the lunch menu. The goulash was rather salty and dry, the noodles obviously reheated, not at all al dente. When I complained the waiter didn't care about it, no compensation was offered. This restaurant used to offer good food in the past....... I liked the apple compote and the new "Schlueffken Alt" beer. I don't think that I'll go there again.

Tonight, we went to the restaurant Late Weinschaenke in Meerbusch-Lank. What an awesome place! The restaurant is quite new. Alte Weinschänke is located in a pedestrian area in Meerbusch-Lank in an old building. The building is very well retaliated with a fireplace in the middle of the restaurant, comfortable chairs and nice tables. It's a beautiful mix of old and modern. We had a trilogy of salmon with a perfectly done grilled pice of salmon, a salmon tartare and a pice of Balik salmon. the main course was a wonderfully prepared halibut filet with sweet potato gnocchi and a fantastic foam sauce. The halibut was quite a large portion. Therefore, we skipped the desert but rounded of the meal with a glass of grappa provided by the owner. The service was excellent. I made a reservation for a few days from now and I'm convinced that I will not be disappointed. Pricing was not cheap but absolutely in line with the service and quality provided. Late Weinschaenke is defiantly a great addition for Meerbusch and the North Dusseldorf area.

There is not much to add to my recent report about this hide-away place, most enjoyable especially at warm late-summer eves. This time I succeded to get a table for two on the cosy terrace, boasting the same attentive service as indoors ... and on top ash-trays for those who keep supporting the German Government.

Stylish restaurant, very elegantly decorated. The menu is not large but enough to offer a decent choice. I ordered the roasted duck leg and breast, perfectly cooked and presented; the breast was one of the most delicious I have ever tried. The people I was having dinner together also had the same opinion about the food. The sore point of the restaurant is the owner. He couldn't stop telling his jokes and stories everytime he had to come at the table for the whole dinner. Also, making fun of the customers with an arrogant attitude is not really the best strategy to make them enjoy the evening. I am really sorry to say this, but that's my experience. I give 3/5 because the food is really good, but because of the owner I'm not sure I would come here again.
