We happened upon this place while in Bochum overnight for business. Luckily we searched for a restaurant early as later it became very busy as it is popular for very good reasons. The management asked if we'd mind taking a table and finishing within two hours as it was reserved for later. This was no problem at all as orders were taken and food arrived very quickly with attentive service and good advice about the menu options. Ordered just one glass of local red wine each and it was lovely too. A delightful meal. No wonder this place is popular.

We went to Alt-Piraus with some friends, it's in Stirpes, not very easy to reach with public transport.Anyway the location is good, the dishes are well prepared and they taste good.For a foreigner it's difficult to understand the menu: an English version is recommended.The prices are good and the quality is on the same track.Suggested, the reservation is suggested

Excellent dinner in a really greek restaurant in Bochum. Traditional greek dishes, very well cooked. The owner Vasilis is there to please all your gastronomic wishes! Top 10 of greek wines even greek mineral water. I recomended in every visit.

Viele werden noch die alte Gaststätte kennen, die Reklame ist noch dran zusätzlich prangt jetzt aber das Leonidas Schild über dem Eingang. Ãbliche Gaststättenbestuhlung, Saal vorhanden. Typisch griechische Gerichte, alles mit Reis oder "Scheibenkartoffeln". Pommes auf Wunsch. Zaziki musste extra bestellt und bezahlt werden, ist nicht automatisch bei jeden Gericht dabei. Fleisch war gut, mit den Pommes war man geizig. Der Service klappte, alle nett. Der Gratis-Ouzo beim Bezahlen kam dann auch. Die Preise sind okay.

Quite disappointed about the greek taste of food in this restaurant. It started with a salad, which was poor and had nothing to do with greek salad. The main dish was ok. Good, but not special. Staff was nice. Atmosphere was simple, light not cozy.
