Very tasty and traditional Italian pizza, good variety offered, price is worth it. Instead of eating a pizza every week i prefer to save money and eat in Mamma’s every 2/3 weeks but at least you know that waiting will be worth it!

It is winter,it is cold and it is wet. We are a party of three, myself,my wife and 41 year old son. We are not on holiday, my father's Lancaster was shot down over Germany in 1944, and we have visited his grave in the War Graves Commission cemetery close by to Kamp-Lintfort. At lunchtime my wife and I were discussing a reasonable place to eat with a local bar owner and he pointed out two places within view of his bar, neither of which we found attractive as one is a Tapas bar and although we like tapas it was off the menu that night, the other establishment was a Greek resaurant and their type of food I cannot take to, and I am speaking from experience, tried it twice and failed. The gent.we were talking to mentioned an Italian outlet but did not recommend it and we gathered from his hand movements that it was close by. We went for a short walk and found the pizzeria, looked alright to us so we returned in the evening, all three of us and found :- a fair sized space with some 30+ covers, warm, clean, licensed and friendly. We were the only diners in there, but, fair to say it was a wet and windy Wednesday night and had we been at home in the UK, nothing would have induced me to venture outside of my front door.Having said that, they were doing a fair old trade at the Take Away counter, this was something of a relief to us, the locals were positive proof that the man in the bar was wrong in his advice and that is how it turned out.The menu also includes pasta dishes, I cannot tell anyone what any of the three starters was, but it was entertaining listening to the descriptions given by the lady 'waiting on'.she had a little English and mixed in with my wife's bit of German we all ended up with a different dish, they were really tasty and there was quite a lot of it. Our pizzas were also very nice although mine was just too big for me to finish. Looking at the Tourist Information booklet, there are some 30 odd restaurants and cafes listed, some obviously will be up market,- us? we hit very lucky getting a good meal in pleasant surroundings at a reasonable price, the whole experience was a pleasant conclusion to a memorable day. Were we to find ourselves back in K-L sometime in the future, then we agree that we would opt for the same place to eat.
