I stayed at the hotel one night and liked almost nothing about this hotel. My local friends had booked me into this hotel, but from the check-in to check-out, I just saw very poor customer service. I found it difficult to open the door to my room with the key, which I was not used to. When I told the front desk person about this, she just told me to keep trying and did not come to help. Finally, after a long time, a different person came and showed me how to use the key. The room was pathetically small as was the TV and bathroom. During check-out again, I was faced with a rude person.Have you heard of customer service? I will never stay in this hotel again!

Hilbecker Hof is on the Bundesstrasse 63, a bypass for those who want to avoid the frequent A44 jams between Kreuz Werl and Kreuz Dortmund/Unna. The menu offers a mix of traditional German food and Balkan style. It is a big restaurant. A bit sterile, increased by the attitude of the staff: friendly but not very personal. Typical a main route restaurant with many 'only once' visitors. The food is served fast and of good quality. The portions are large. The salad you can take yourself from a bar but the choice is very basic. The temperature of my alcohol free Weizenbeer was too high. It is quite expensive but not extreme for a main road restaurant. Schnitzel is EUR 11.90 and we paid EUR 80 for five mains and five drinks. Good parking and a nice playing ground outside for children.

Mit der Familie waren wir im Sommer dort speisen - alles war prima. Die Frische der Zutaten zubereitet nach traditionell griechischer Art steht hier im Vordergrund. Vom Hacksteak bis zum Gyros, vom Zatziki bis zum Lammfilet, von den Beilagen bis zu den Getränken, alles vorzüglich und nicht zu kritisieren - ebenso der freundliche und aufmerksame Service. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt hier auÃerordentlich. Wer griechische Küche mag, ist hier gut aufgehoben. Dies ist der zweite Grieche, der in der alten Traditionsgaststätte 'Melsterhofe' sein Glück versucht - meiner Meinung sei es ihm hold, das Glück . . . wir kommen gerne wieder.
