Spent a long weekend in Cologne for my 50th birthday, and fancied a Saturday afternoon in the pub watching the football on TV. Read good things about Barney Vallely's, so headed there in time to catch a live game. Certainly wasn't disappointed by the beer. The Guinness was really good, and it would appear that the other Irish brews were just as popular, judging by what everybody else (many of them locals) was drinking. There was a good choice of live football on the many TV's, and we enjoyed several conversations with the locals, despite our differing opinions on the football!
