We nearly passed by without stopping. Fortunately either good luck or good sense got us parked and inside for a delicious and memorable meal. Busy with regulars on a Saturday lunchtime means they're getting something right. What struck me as strange however was the list of mainly French wines, when one is close to such an abundance of good German vintners - perhaps this is what counts as 'posh' hereabouts.

On a short break in Monschau recently with friends and by chance found this place as we were staying near bye.Wonderful reception from Brigitte who provided great service,she seemed to speak many languages including English.The food was lovely with good portions,our friends agreed.Would recommend and go back again if and when in the area.

We didn't get into the restaurant because we just wanted to buy the famous French fries (vlaamse frites) of Belgium. On the right side of this hotel restaurant there is a corner where you can get some snacks.
