This restaurant is officially located in Bochum, however it is probably closer to Herbede, Haven, or Witten. They all say here though, that everyone knows that everything on the north side of the lake is Bochum. Anyway, it is right near the lake, and if you need to, you can reach the restaurant by bus.We normally don't visit a buffet, unless it is an indian buffet, but this one is well worth it. The main theme of the restaurant is Thai, but there is something for everyone. Sunday is fish day, so they have a wide selection of fish, shrimp, mussels, and sushi. This Sunday buffet is more expensive than the normal days. They have a good salad bar with the sushi. Then comes the fried foods that the kids especially like. Fried fish, french fries, fried bananas, fried pineapple, fried eggrolls, fried this and that.Next are some main dishes, like thai red curry beef with coconut milk. rice, fish, and one other thai dish. Then you can take the number from your table and select a number of meats and fish (sunday), veggies, etc., then select one of about ten styles of sauces (eg., bbq, thai coconut curry, etc.), and give it to the grill man and then they deliver it to your table once it is ready. They also offer deserts, including ice cream that are included with the price. Drinks are not included. So, this is the place to go if you are very hungry. They have a nice outdoor seating area, as well as a lot of space inside. Staff is friendly and patient. They take the dirty plates away quickly every time you go to the buffet.

This is a nice and cosy restaurant with friendly and helpful service. The prices are very good and the portions quite big. The food was fresh and tasty. We got a free miso soup and an ice cream. I will definitely go there again the next time I'm in Bochum.

This place is a hidden gem, and I know several people that don't live near here that come for good sushi. It is a building hidden in a small passage on the main pedestrian street, in front there is outdoor sitting when there is good weather. They offer tradition sushi, as well fusion sushi, other Japanese and Korean dishes. Now that one of the oldest places has closed, it has the best quality you will find around and the price is more than reasonable for the quality. The staff is friendly and helpful, especially if you are new to sushi or just want to try something new. They have set menus, sushi a la carte, or even surprise menus where you can say how much you want to pay and the chef will make you a unique platter of sushi. Most weekends you will have to call a few days in advance to get a table, it can even be pretty crowded in the week so it is advisable if you are making a trip out your way that you book a table first.

I am usually leery of all you can eat when it comes to sushi because of the importance of freshness but a friend of mine and I decided to try it anyway. The decor of the restaurant is strikingly beautiful and makes for a great atmosphere. The concept is also interesting, they make everything fresh, but you don't make your order with your waiter, instead you make your order on a iPad and the waiter brings it you. You make your orders in rounds (6 things at time for lunch and 5 for dinner) and you have a timer on the iPad to make your next order. Be careful not to order too much, they charge extra for the leftovers. The sushi is fresh and the salads and warm dishes are great. Lunch is cheaper than dinner, though the selection is smaller but still good.

I have been here a few times and my experience is very mixed. I have the impression that some things the cook(s) know how to do well and the rest is made with premade (not so good sauces). The sushi is okay, most of the Thai is better but a lot of the Chinese and Vietnamese stuff is not that good (other than the rice noodles with summer rolls). It is not terrible but there are a lot better Asian places in the Triangle.

Sushi / Japanisch
Unfortunately, they donât have an english menu. Due to this unpleasant fact, waiter should explain everything in english personally. This inconvenience canât alter the fact that they do have a really great chef :) By the way, he greeted us while dining :) All dishes are absolutely perfect. Waiter is friendly. Cozy atmosphere and nice interior. Actually itâs a pretty good restaurant I can recommend.

As a group we went to the restaurant while on a business trip. Everyone who has sushi very much enjoyed it and said it was fresh and tasty. Unfortunately, the main plates (chicken and chicken fried rice) were very salty and the portions were enormous (enough for at least 3 people). Would recommend for the sushi but not anything else. Our waitress was not very pleasant, but the man who greeted us upon arrival was very nice.

This place is great. Food was so tasty and the price was really good. Portions were huge so even more of a bargain. Restaurant very clean and the staff were all friendly. I'm not a German speaker so can't remember the name of my chicken dish but I think it was number 42 on the menu and I couldn't recommend it highly enough. Great visit!

This has been one of our favourite sushi places for a while. It is much better than your average sushi carousel place. However, it is often crowded and booked out on weekends. The vietnamese place next door, Nhy Star is an excellent alternative.

The center of Bochum has been missing a good quality non-all-you-can-eat Japanese food place. The food here is high-quality and there is a wide variety of dishes, many of which you won't find other local Japanese places. The service is very friendly and helpful. I have come here a few times and had a few different things but I have not had anything that wasn't at least very good. The appetizers are as well as the main dishes excellent and they are not just the typical fried things you get in a lot of Japanese places in Germany.
