I travel around the world for a living a occasionally finding the right combination of food, drink, and atmosphere. This was it a friend recommended this place and it was everything he said. Family owned and operated by Michael Volonko and his wife and daughter Maike and Pia.We stopped by with 9 of us no notice. They moved some tables around to accommodate us. From the minute we sat down we were treated like kings, the restaurant was busy. We all orders drinks which came quickly for European restaurants. Orders were taking by the owner ( his daughter told us that fact later) we all ordered different meals and not one of us was disappointed. I had what was recommended by staff. It was incredible. Pork breaded with with the best combination of seasoning I could ever imagine. Family recipe I was told. After we recovered from eating big portions we had a few drinks I was honored to meet the the family mom who was not just a good cook but a superb chef. Well I just wanted in life when you meet good people doing a great job like the Volonko's go in and you will not be disappointed.

My second visit here. Very friendly staff, good restaurant, nice comfortable rooms. Not the most modern decor but still very agréable. It can be a trek to your room down corridors and through fire doors so make a note of where the light switches are.

We visit the Beeker Brauhaus every couple of months and always have a good time. Food is traditional German. Last time I had a rumpsteak that cut like butter, accompanied by garlicky spinach and fries. My partner tends to go for a fish option e.g. salmon with lemon sauce and parsley potatoes. There is a good choice of beer (including Belgian Grimbergen Blonde and Dubbel). Some staff speak excellent English; all staff are friendly and welcoming. Mains cost around 10-19 Euros. There is a beer garden and a bowling alley too......

I have passed this restaurant for years and never thought about eating there. From the outside it looks very old and run down. Once you get inside I was shocked. The place is beautiful and traditionally modern. The menu choice was much larger than expected and really good value for money. Our meals looked and tasted superb. The young lady who served us spoke perfect English and had a permanent smile on her face which gives a very warm and friendly felling. I will recommend this restaurant to all of my friends and colleges.

this is really a very special location: an old watermill from the 17th century, caring renovated allows a authentic atmosphere. Besides typical dishes there are some extraordinary dishes. I tried the deer roulade filled with chestnut - amazing! The service was attentive but not importunate. And at the end: they brew their own beer. You can order a selection of 4 different own brewed beer - every around 1/4 pint just to taste.Very rare I give 5 stars. You will love it !
