This is a really interesting location (within an old & as museum restored 'Zeche') that offers drinks and snacks, but can as well be rented for bigger events like weddings etc. ... outdoor seating & kids playground are offered as well. The service, food and infrastructure for the event I've attended was just great. Staff was very attentive and helpful and everything (incl. the 'animated' part of the eve) went very smoothly and satisfying for everybody.

Wir haben den ersten Sommertag für einen Besuch im Yachthafen genutzt! Gerade im Sommer kommen wir immer wieder gerne her! Egal ob nur für ein kühles Getränk oder auch für ein leckeres Essen, auf der idyllischen Terrasse mit Blick auf den Kanal und den Yachthafen kommt immer irgendwie das Gefühl von Urlaub auf! Absoluter Wohlfühlfaktor! Der Service ist immer freundlich! Die eher kleine, aber durchaus abwechslungsreiche Speisekarte bietet etwas für jeden Geschmack! Und das zu absolut fairen Preisen! Besonders zu empfehlen sind die saisonalen Spargel- und Pfifferlingsgerichte!

Visited this restaurant for the second time last night for a meal for 9 people including members of our German family.The food was good and the atmosphere in the restaurant is good with parts designated to show the brewing of there own beer.The service was good and the price was good value.This restaurant is definitely worth a visit.

Situated in the center of Castrop the restaurant Leuthold's 1910 Brasserie is the perfect place fot lunch or dinner. We had Zander and Schweinefleischschitzel. Both were perfect. The service is very pleasant and the atmosphere is cosy.

Hallo! Wer hier lecker und mal zwischendurch Essen möchte is hier genau richtig. Speziell griechische Speisen kann man nur empfehlen. Auch andere Speisen sind natürlich gut.

We came here with a large group last year after a trade show in Dortmund. The food arrived after a long wait, which was a bit disappointing. However the food itself was great, tasty and fresh.As we had some vegetarians and Muslims with us, it was a bit difficult to find vegetarian or halal dishes (although they had some seafood alternatives).

Why I have not reviewed this venue before I cannot explain - perhaps because it is so 'chic' that it is out of the normal for holiday visitors and a secret for the locals, but again this vist was exceptionally good. Beware, it is not cheap - indeed some may find it over the top for the size of the plates served, but there was plenty to add to the main item - my first course was shrimps in a Pernod Sauce -simply WOW. For the main I took a chance. I have seem Loach being thrown back by my fishing friends in England and never on a menu - indeed we had to look up the English to translate to Loach. Needless to say I will try and introduce it to my friends the next time we are in town - it was superbly cooked and presented. The venue oozes class, and the service was not only polite, but with a friendly twist which left me feeling very welcome and able to ask 'silly' questions of the menu - something which sometimes can be a little embarrassing. Please save up and try Elsasser Stube (with or without the 'umlaut')

Zu einer Feier mit Büffet waren wir im Nebengebäude untergebracht. Die beiden Bedienungsdamen, zeitweilig vom Chef unterstützt, waren ausgesprochen freundlich und flink und gaben sich viel Mühe. Manchmal mussten sie sich jedoch vom Erinnerungsvermögen des Gastes helfen lassen. Das Ambiente in dem ein paar Meter neben dem Hauptcafé gelegenen Veranstaltungsraum war ziemlich einfach. Das Büffet... nun, war ein Standardbüffet, nicht herausragend, man wurde satt...Der Nachtisch war daran noch das beste.

We had our Christmas party in this restaurant and everything was great. The dishes are fresh and the ingredients are of good quality. The service was also professional and the staff friendly. I can highly recommend this restaurant.
