Bottrop (German pronunciation: [ˈbɔtʁɔp] ( listen)) is a city in west central Germany, on the Rhine-Herne Canal, in North Rhine-Westphalia. Located in the Ruhr industrial area, Bottrop adjoins Essen, Oberhausen, Gladbeck and Dorsten. The city had been a coal-mining and rail center and contains factories producing coal-tar derivatives, chemicals, textiles, and machinery. Bottrop grew as a mining center beginning in the 1860s, was chartered as a city in 1921, and bombed during the Oil Campaign of World War II. In 1975 it unified with the neighbour communities of Gladbeck and Kirchhellen, but Gladbeck left it in 1976, leading to Kirchhellen becoming a district of Bottrop as Bottrop-Kirchhellen.

Standard Restaurant in Bottrop next to Kirchhellen. Not in the city center. Lunch was good. Nothing special, but we liked it. One can go there without any problems.

Haben uns spontan entschieden das Restaurant zu besuchen. Der Empfang war sehr freundlich und das Restaurant machte einen sehr guten Eindruck. Direkt mit den Getränken kam ein Ouzo dazu. Der war wirklich gut. Wenig später kam auch das Essen. Es waren Klassiker der griechischen Küche. Die Umsetzung war sehr gelungen und die Menge war ebenfalls mehr als ausreichend. Zwischendurch wurde immer mal nachgefragt ob alles in Ordnung ist. Man kann sagen, dass die Aufmerksamkeit des Personals vorhanden war.Der Besuch hat sich wirklich gelohnt. Ambiente Essen Service war in allen Kategotien gut. Werden gerne wieder kommen und das Restaurant gern weiterempfehlen.

Na een vrij lange zoektocht in dit restaurant beland. We hadden vergeefs gezocht naar een authentiek Duits etablissement in de buurt. We werden er zeer vriendelijk verwelkomd en onze teleurstelling was snel vergeten. Lekkere Italiaanse maaltijden. De zaak wordt vooral door lokale bewoners bezocht. Mijn vis werd met het nodige uitbundige Italiaanse vertoon door de chef zelf op mijn bord gefileerd. Lekker en gezellig.

Von auÃen sieht die Bauernstube aus wie eine normale "Frittenbude". Innen ewartet einen u.a. ein nett ausgestatteter und sauberer Sitzbereich. Die Speisen sind sehr vielfältig, es gibt auch viel leckeres hausgemachtes. Leider muss man abends schon mal ein paar Minuten warten. Es lohnt sich aber.

Unfortunate you can find this concept only in a few Edeka stores. All categories in these shops has a very high level. The bistro and other spots like wine and coffee are awesome! Great place to visit, shop and enjoy the food!

Great place for a quick currywurst and fries in a great location. While it is arguably the best currywurst in Bottrop, its the fries that keep me coming back.
