We happened to find this restaurant via Google and we were happy to find it as they serve excellent food, nicely decorated, including all kinds of steaks, different meats, great pizza's and delicious real Italian icecream prepared by their italian cook. Very friendly staff (the owner even spoke Dutch!). The price/quality ratio was great and we were so happy that we went there twice! Absolutely a must! The restaurant is in an old building with the typical local atmosphere.

Bayrische Bierspezialitäten from the brewery Hofbräu Munich and hearty food, a rustic atmosphere and nice people who value the conviviality: There are many good reasons to visit the new restaurant in the Ostertorgalerie. Treat yourself to a few nice hours
As a member of two German Men's choirs, whenever I hear "Hofbräu" I always think about that nice song. Well, in Bad Salzuflen there is also a Hofbräu Haus, and it's in the same building as the Best Western Hotel Am Ostertor. If you stay in that hotel, it's a must to eat there, but if you are staying elsewhere in town, its still a must to eat there. It's a great experience. The decoration in the restaurant is "typical" Bavarian, and the male staff wears Lederhosen and the ladies Dirndl's. One can say the food is also typical Bavarian, but actually they have a very nice, and wide menu selection that covers not only all of Germany, but Europe as well. The beer's great, and since I saw them rolling in a barrell, its got to be the good stuff from München. The staff is very friendly, and helpful in selecting something just for you. There is very little street parking in the area, so be prepared to park under the hotel, or in the REWE's lot behind the building. Don't miss the great eats, and the "geselligkeit", cozyness of spending a lunch or evening in the Hofbräu Am Ostertor. .Servus Joel, thank you very much for your kind rating! We are glad you were happy with our service and that you enjoyed your stay in our restaurant. We hope that we will be able to welcome you again quite soon.
Daumen hoch

I was her with colleagues. ENtering into the restaurant is really nice and special. The food is pretty good but nothing special. The wine chart is pretty extensive,The service is good but too slow.

Lovely building with a modern touch inside. Friendly service and a good selection of food from Bavaria. The beer-garden is a cosy place to relax on warm days. Ate and drank here many times.

German food is always good anyway. Somehow, the Germans take things seriously. If something is worth doing, then do it well.Excellent traditional German food, in traditional surroundings. The service was great. So was the food - catering well for vegetarians. Perhaps not a huge choice for vegetarians but what I had was good. Really nice to relax here on your own. Good value too.I'd certainly come here again.

German Restaurant, in historic center of Bad Salzuflen. Restored half-timbered house from the 17th century. Fresh , German , seasonal food and local specialities. All food homemade. Attentive , friendly, english speaking staff. 50 seats inside , 40 seats
This restaurant is a fantastic local place. Very nice decorated, with eye for detail, friendly service, also with eye for detail, and great food! The dishes are fresh, local and with friendly prices (Schnitzelspecial: 1000cents is super!!) Certainly a must go (back)!Only negative point we can think of is that they are closed on Wednesday and Thursday, so we could't go again :)
