Fine breakfast was served in "Bistorant" Uppu - service was quick and pleasant, breads were very fresh and tasty, cheese and meats and sweets also great, coffee, tea and cocoa good, boiled eggs perfect. Warmly recommended!

A nice restaurant with a good atmosphere. On Saturdays itâs very busy. The food is like you can expect in a place like the Alm. Itâs honest, more than enough and reasonably priced. Donât expect anything special. The place is big and therefore very noisy and a feel of âcrowdedâ. You want candlelight dinning, donât go to the Alm. When itâs quiet in the town of Winterberg people tend to go to the Alm because they donât like empty restaurants despite the fact that these other restaurant are better. The Alm is the hang-out of Winterberg. Yes I would go back.

We just went in the restaurant and got a table. The traditional German food was good quality and for 5 persons including drinks and desserts we paid less than 90â¬. The service was perfect multi language (at least French, German, Dutch and English). Very kind and also known by the locals. That's always a good sign.

Checked in without a reservation. After a 5-minute wait, we got a table. The restaurant was packed and the two waiters were very active and efficient. We ordered some starters followed by a main course. Quality of the food was very decent and portions relatively big. Drinks are also very reasonably priced. Interior is somewhat old-fashioned, but compensated for by the atmosphere. One of the better dining places in Winterberg.

First: you need to reserve a table or to be there early (17:30) to get a table. Once you have a place then you can enjoy very delicious and traditional food with modern touch. We ordered "Reibekuchen" with cream and bacon, another which chicken and mushroom souce. A Mediterranean burger, steak (perfect backed) and chicken nuggets for the little one finish the list. Everything was perfect.

Here you will find everything you need to know our cozy restaurant in the heart of the old town of Winterberg. Rejoice in culinary delights in the bourgeois style - our kitchen chef Marcel Beine interprets Hausmannskost completely new and takes you into h
A brilliantly fresh take on traditional German cooking. Hearthy without being heavy, fresh while also being copious, fancy without being pretentious. Highly recommend the 5 courses surprise menu, but you will be happy with any selection. Oh, and do leave room for desert.

Our hotel is not far away. So after browsing TA we chose this place. Is a restaurant of a small hotel. We need to drive on a quite snowy road. But if you have winter tires no problem. The place is warm and friendly. The place is run by Dutch people. Maybe thatâs why the dishes are so familiar for me. They serve whatâs popular in NL.The good they serve different dishes than average winterberg restaurant. The bad they are rather expensive. The onion soup was not classic French. Looks like it, but slightly sour taste surprised me. Not to my liking at all.The shrimp in garlic was good. Very tasty. At 11,50 you can get a main course serving in the city.As mains we had the salmon, ribeye and spareribs. The salmon was perfectly done and they went out of the way to get it cooked like we requested. Almost wel done. The ribeye was quite a solid piece. At least 250gr. Was wel cooked and rested. Medium without being to bloody. A big plus. Most German restaurants in winterberg only serves rumpsteak. Never understood Germans love for this piece of meat. Still at over 22⬠quite expensive for Germany. The spare ribs I didnât like personally. We ordered two. First was to dry. Not enough marinated. And like always people forget to keep basting the meat. But biggest mistake...it was not slowcooked before grilling it.so quite dry.The second was quite fatty and thick. Lots of meat are on top of the bone and not in between. Not really baby back ribs. Also lack of marination means rather bland. They gave different sauces, but a good spareribs doesnât need extra sauces. A pass for me. But still acceptable. The place is warm and cozy. Presentation is quite fancy. With very nice and friendly people. But food wise itâs good, but hardly does the TA rating justice and along with price I gave it a 3of 5.There are better and cheaper options in the city.

Fresh, sassy, surprising and versatile - that´s we would describle ourselves. Our menu ist small but full of attractive combinations of good taste. Have a fine wine with your meal and be seduced an surprised.
If you want something other than a wurst or schnitzel this is a very good option. Bit more contemporary but in a lovely old style Sauerland building. Great wine selection which much to our surprise is a hard find in Winterberg. The mostly got everything down, but the vegetarian option, that was a bit plain.
