We went here last Saturday. We had a booking upstairs and had a lovely time. A couple of our group had Wiener schnitzel and I had the roast schweinbraten which was delicious. My friend from Bielefeld had the Schweinhaxe which looked great. The staff was friendly and efficient.

I had a lovely dinner with clients here recently, and it was a very lovely experience. The fish was excellently prepared, and though I was totally satisfied with my own selection, I couldn't help casting a longing glance at everyone else's plate. Though we sat outside - the weather was wonderful - I did get a look inside the restaurant proper with its open kitchen. Definitely worth a repeat visit!

Having lived on the Rock of Gibraltar for four plus years and having travelled extensively in mainly southern Spain, we know authentic tapas! On that basis I can heartily recommend both the cuisine and the ambience of this restaurant. The restaurant is very popular so make sure you book first. Like a lot of restaurants in Germany there is both an indoor and outdoor seating option depending on the weather. When we went it was a hot day and we sat indoors right by the sliding doors. The service is good the tapas is downright tasty! So tasty in fact that I would say it is the best tapas I have eaten outside of Spain. The menu is large and there will be someting to delight everyone. It's a great place to meet and eat with friends.

Mostly on sundays after a wonderfull walk in the Teutobrger Wald we had good wine, homemade cake, tapas, hot chocolate - depending on the time of arrival. In summer wonderful seats outside with a great view - in winter a typical westfalian sight - foggy, green and grey from the inside through windows. Friendly

We went out for dinner with some wine in a group of three. As it was freezing cold, we took a seat in the inside. The decoration was meant to be Spanish-Italian-general Mediterranean. The efforts were not sufficient for converting the medieval local German building into the Mediterranean café. We sat on rather narrow tables. The food on offer sounded good, but after the large starter platter for sharing, three main courses and desserts, we still felt hungry. By the time the bill arrived we could make ourselves familiar with their rather steep prices. We spent almost £30 per person (some 35â¬) on food and a glass of wine each, so I would hope to feel satisfied (or drunk at least). The orders in more detail: the wine was nice with prices suggesting excellent. I had the red housewine (light-ish Spanish red) which is good, but does not come with strong flavours. The starters were of good quality and served in small ramekin like pots. In general, the food was very salty but they still managed to produce a balanced taste. The main courses came without sides. The two meat portions looked very small and were confirmed as about 3 oz plus sauce. I had the fish-of-the-day which was a swordfish filet (estimated 4 or 5 oz) served without sauce but with some salad. The fish was fried with thyme and quite a bit of salt. This produced a nice texture and good flavours, but again the salt was at the upper boundary (personally, I'd do more thyme, less salt). The salt on the salad was just too much (it could do with some dressing rather than just salt and oil). The strong food was just too much for the light-ish housewine. Desserts were served in small ramekins again and were okay.In sum, the place is good for some (expensive) nibbles and drinks. It is not the place for taking someone out for dinner or starting an evening out with food.

To me this was a very nice restaurant that is built on to the hotel. It is also where the breakfast buffet is located for the hotels guests as the Gerry Weber Sportspark Hotel in the same building. The dinner we had was very good and reasonably priced.I liked the Wetfalia regional speciality dishes...met sausage, smoked pork chops and special beans.Thank-you.

When visiting Halle (Westfalen) recently, we looked up Tripadvisor to find a good restaurant for lunch. To our surprise, Rossini gastronomie is not listed there! After some research, we found out that it is mistakingly listed under Halle (Saale), several hundred kilometers away. With Google maps, the exact location was given as Eggeberger Strasse 11, Halle (Westfalen): To get there, leave Halle in Northeasterly direction via Theenhauser Strasse, direction Theenhausern/Werther. Then, after some1.5 km, take a left at the sign "Golfplatz" (golf course). There is no sign to the restaurant itself. Drive some 500 meters up the hill and Rossini is at your left, at the golf course. It has a nice ambiance, with beautiful views over the golf course and the woods in the back, also from the large terrace. We were greeted warmly upon entering, seated nicely and given an overview of the various luncheon options. We opted for the business lunch, a 3-course meal with the following choices: Small house salad or soup; fried salmon with stir fried vegatebles and potatoes or pesto noodles with fried chicken breast, vegatables, mini tomatoes and Parmesan cheese,or vegetarian pesto noodles. Dessert was red fruit ice cream with fresh strawberries, or coffee. Everything we ordered was delicious, service was attentive and fast and all this for 14.90 euro's per person. This gem is not easy to find for people from elsewhere, but definitely worth a visit.

This restaurant is situated in the middle of one of the smaller villages that became a part of Bielefeld a couple of decades ago but it still has some rural charakter and a nice setting with a small outside area for good weather. It is owned by a rich person who keeps it as a sort of hobby so the chef is free in his creations and the prices are well below what one could expect. The kitchen is a mixture of mediterranean and german (do not worry) in a very elegant way and you can get some interesting new creations and compositions. You can actually have a look at the kitchen team to see what they are doing. They do offerset menus in case the menu has too many options for you. btw the menu changes regularly with the season and only contains about a dozen or so items which in itself is always a good sign. The waiters do have a bit of a dry humor but if you test it out you can have a wonderful evening in a casual setting with really great food. And expect to be staffed by the end of the evening as well. The wine menu is extensive and does offer a good choice for reasonable prices.

As a Greek, I was absolutely pleased there! Not too posh, not ridiculous! The staff is amazingly friendly and polite! Wine selection is very good, and they offer ouzo! Big portions, as with every dish they bring a variety of starters for free. They should just add some vegetarian food, but if you ask for it, they do assemble amazing dishes! They even helped us find a taxi immediately, as we were on a hurry!!! Everything excellent!
