The district Bad Meinberg is a spa resort. It has 17,185 inhabitants (2013). It was formed in 1970 by merging various other municipalities that had grown together, including Bad Meinberg and Horn - the new entity's original name was Bad Meinberg-Horn, before taking its present name.

Been there several times in November 2015 for dinner with family and friends. Interior looks very nice and cozy and the staff is very friendly and welcoming. Food was extraordinary each time,especially pizzas and lasagnas. Really top italian restaurant in Blomberg. Highly recommended!

Wir waren hier heute anlässlich einer Hochzeit mittags in groÃer Runde essen. Der Empfang war total herzlich, mit Kindern wurde sehr lieb umgegangen und der Service war sehr professionell. Das Essen war super lecker. Die Hühnersuppe als Vorspeise war genial ( schmeckte hausgemacht), die Salatbar war spitze und die Fleischplatten ( u.a. Cevapcici ) waren der Hammer.Das gesamte Restaurant und die Gläser und die Einrichtung waren picobello sauber. Wir würden sogar ohne Familienfeier definitiv nochmal hierher fahren und essen.

I tried on two occasions to order at Extrablatt, but never actually got the opportunity. Mostly, I just watched the staff yell at each other and customers, as they ran about in utter panic. Avoid at all costs.

That was amazing how good was food in that evening. All staff works hard but correctly and all the peoples like nice evening on the historical place and very good food. Because that wasn't tour to nice German village, I can't look around, but I know that all the territory is very nice and authentic. I definitely like similar places, but this time was favourite subject food (some pictures added to my review. I wish all the best the place and the stuff too. Thank you for!

Wide beer selection includes Krušovice, Guinness and Allgäuer. Good location, especially sat outside. Enjoyed gourmet beefburger (ostrich and kangaroo also options). Could 2 hard-working staff cope with the 80-odd customers sat outside? No. My glass was empty when my food arrived and only replenished 10 minutes after I had finished eating. Come here when it is not so busy.

Das alte Forsthaus Kreuzkrug liegt auÃerhalb des Ortes Schlangen an der AusfahrtstraÃe in Richtung Detmold, am FuÃe der "Gauseköthe". Die herrliche Landschaft hier lädt zu Wanderungen, Spaziergängen und ausgedehnten Joggingrunden ein. Der Kreuzkrug hat eine lange Historie und wird Sommer wie Winter gern und gut besucht. Ständige Renovierungen lassen auch die Gasträume immer wieder in einer angenehme Atmosphäre erscheinen. Zuletzt waren wir hier mit 10 Personen eingebucht, aber nur zu 9. erschienen. Einige Wochen nach der Buchung habe ich nochmals darauf hingewisn, dass wir eine Vegetarierin mitbringen und man möge bitte einen Gericht vorbereiten. Ein Ehepaar unserer Gruppe hatte sich im Vorfeld im Internet die Speisenkarte angesehen und dann berichtet, es seien 3 Vegetarische Gerichte darin enthalten. Prima. Als wir dann unsere Bestellungen abgeben wollten, gab es allerdings auf der Karte kein vegetarisches Angebot. Die Bedienung teilte uns mit, man könne sich ja etwas aus den Beilagen zusammenstellen..Um es auf den Punkt zu bringen: Das Fleisch des Hirschbratens war "ein Gedicht", auch die Sauce hierzu mit den Pfifferlingen, schmeckte hervorragend. Die Forelle eines Gastes wurde auch hoch gelobt und die frische Salatbeilage war ebenso in Ordnung. Aber nun zu den Beilagen: Der Rotkohl schien aus dem Glas zu sein, die KlöÃe waren weiÃ, fad und total Geschmacklos, das Apfelmuà und die PreiÃelbeeren schienen auch aus industrieller Fertigung zu stammen. Die Spirellinudeln unter dem Geschnetzeltem mit mediterranen Gemüse waren eine zerkochte Masse ohne Geschmack. Daher wurde von diesem lieblosen Tellergericht auch nur das Fleisch und das Gemüse (??) herausgepickt.Einen Tag zuvor haben wir in Neuenheerse ebenfalls Wildgerichte probiert. Der Gesamtpreis dort lag auf gleichem Niveau, und die Qualität der Speisen war verdächtig nah an einem Stern.Der Service des Hauses war wie immer hervorragend. Aber dennoch, wir werden nicht noch einmal den Fehler machen Freunde hierher zu einem Weihnachtsessen zu bitten. Schade. Wenn die Freude an der Zubereitung der Speisen fehlt, dann fehlt auch bald der Gast.

It was so eye-catching menu on the list so that i finally decided to try this menu. I was kinda excited to taste and see how it looked like. The meat was so fine and soft and it tasted me like hungarian gulasch and suited to indonesian cuisine "rendang" but not really hot and without coconut milk. The noodle which is spätzle was really good cooked. I could eat it all till the last bite, i'm actually not a big fan of red cabbage but the red cabbage tastes different if you mix together. The cook has tried hard to make it warm so that we feel like being home and it was brought right from the kitchen.I tried the red wine conte di campiano primitivo di manduria from Italy which costed around â¬20 and was really good as the companion. The design of the restaurant is good, intimate, romantic candle light dinner. But i was a bit unhappy as we got there, there weren't so many people maybe because of the location. But if you want to try something "westfalen" this could be your choice in Detmold.
