Stayed in the hotel and had dinner at the restaurant. It had great value for money, only had to pay 31 euro for the two of us for a good meal. The setup of the restaurant was quite good too, you could see they put in some effort to make it a nice looking place.

Als wir zum ersten Mal im Gambrinus waren, wurden wir von einen âaltenâ Bekannten begrüÃt!Der ârichtigeâ gute Chef von unserem ehemaligen Lieblingsrestaurant!Das neue Lokal ist richtig schön geworden und nicht so dunkel wie der âKellerâ!Die Gerichte waren wie früher einfach klasse! Uns hat alles geschmeckt. Die Steakplatte war der Hammer! Alles super zart und auf den Punkt!Das Essen beim 2. Besuch war 1a! Das Cordon Bleu ist echt super lecker!Das Gambrinus ist auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen!Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Wir sind beim Sonntagsausflug am Rhein in Wesel für einen Kaffee hier eingekehrt. Das Ambiente ist sehr schön. Der Ausblick auf den Rhein ist einmalig. Es gibt drinnen und drauÃen ausreichend Sitzplätze. Leider war die Bedienung beim bestellen und beim bezahlen recht langsam. Ist aber vielleicht eine Momentaufnahme gewesen. Es schien übrigens einen Brunch am Sonntag zu geben. Der sah sehr gut und reichhaltig aus. Das werden wir mal testen.

Decided to eat here since we were staying in the hotel. First class service from an attentive owner.Food quality was very good and the owner suggested we try a local red German wine with our meal. It was more expensive than the usual carafe wine but I must admit it was a pleasant surprise being a very drinkable light red.Each of our party had a three course dinner but none of us were able to finish due to the enormous portions. The restaurant was busy with local people which is usually a good sign and we all felt it was good value.

On my last trip to the region my German colleagues forgot I was vegetarian which didn't make for a great night out. This time they remembered and booked a table at the Lippeschlosschen who assured them they did a vegetarian menu - and quite right they were as well! I had goats cheese salad as a starter with vegetable ravioli as a main course. Beautifully cooked and presented and what was more impressive was they had prepared a 'special' appetizer for me as a one-off. Great service. Added bonus was they knew how to serve a mean Gin & Tonic!Lovely outdoor seating area at the back of the restaurant down the stairs - my only slight complaint was the address they give on their website doesn't work with SatNav so I was half an hour late for our reservation!Thank you for your kindly answer.!!

After feeling tired from riding 460 miles from the U.K. we picked Wasel as a place to stay and after checking out hotels in the area we picked this one. It is a little sanctuary outside of the town in a forest near a lake, the staff are so accommodating, the food is excellent and the 2 bedroom apartment with a private bathroom was decorated and finished to a very clean high standard with a theme in both rooms. It has veranda with chairs table and loungers should you wish to use these along with a nice bar area outside down stairs. Jeantine looked after us during our stay, she is a biker herself, the bikes were put behind a secure gated area so gave us peace of mind. The location is in a quiet forest area and welcome after a long noisy ride. Thoroughly recommend this for bikers or couples looking for a bit of quiet and sanctuary. It was a pleasure to serve you guys! We are looking forward to see you again and we wish you a beautiful tour. You are always welcome.

no nonsense auf der Speisekarte. Aber alles frisch und mit Kenntnis zubereitet. Service prima. Preise moderat. Da wünscht man sich mehr 'Bürgerhäuser' in der deutschen Provinz....Nun zum 4. Mal dort gut gegessen. Das kann kein Zufall sein :).

Die Bäckerei Winkelmann ist ein Familienbetrieb mit vier Filialen in den Hamminkelner Dörfern Brünen, Dingden, Mehrhoog und in Hamminkeln selbst. Im Café in Hamminkeln gibt es vom gut besuchten Frühstücksbüffet über einen Mittagstisch und eine reichhaltige Auswahl an Kuchen, Torten und Eisspezialitäten den ganzen Tag über verlockende kulinarische Angebote. Brot und Brötchen von Winkelmann schmecken uns ausgezeichnet und werden auch von Kollegen und Freunden bei Feiern stets gelobt. In Dingden und Mehrhoog gibt es ebenfalls Cafés, die Filiale in Brünen ist mit einem Stehcafé etwas kleiner, aber auch dort kann man Eiscreme bekommen. Praktisch für Berufstätige sind auch die Ãffnungszeiten ab sechs Uhr morgens während der Woche. Sonntags gibt es ab 8 Uhr frische Backwaren für ein gemütliches Wochenend-Frühstück.

The food was absolutely wonderful. The taste as well as the way it was served. The Chef Peter also a most likeable person. He made our evening on my 75th birthday. Good reason to make a stop in Flüren, a small village, part of Wesel.
