The Strümper Hof is a very good restaurant to enjoy quality food and service. The atmosphere is friendly and the restaurant in general is of a high standard. We have enjoyed both casual meals as well as family celebrations (the restaurant offers a separate room for private functions). The staff are always willing to go that extra mile to satisfy the guests.Try it and enjoy!

A simple Austrian feel to the restaurant with lots of wood everywhere. Excellent veal steak, thick (unusual but welcome) and perfectly cooked - rare as requested. Starter was also perfectly cooked and presented and overall a lovely place in a charming olde worlde location.

This Bistro is always full because the food is great, the atmosphere friendly and busy and (considering the quality of the food and cooking) the value is great.I recommend arriving a bit early (5-6pm) otherwise you have to wait in line. Since the place is always full, be ready to share your table with others (generally nice people).I had the potato soup, superb. Take at least the medium size. Then the Dusseldorfer steak (great), then the triple sorbets (as great as they look in the picture). My table-mates (complete strangers) enjoyed the huge Wiener Schnitzel and Red Salmon, so I think these could be recommended too. This restaurant is worth a special trip to Dusseldorf. I shall go there again.

Service only by the owner who doesn't know how to serve properly ... Practically "one-man-show". Big portion of Schnitzel and due to promoting a "schnitzel week" they were serving many different sauce varieties. Delicious sauce BUT too little. And was served poured on-top of the Schnitzel ...so you'd better ask explicitly if you want it aside. They offer a delicious dessert of eggs-roasted nuts-resins. It is called Kaisersmarren. I ordered it at the same time with main course in order NOT to wait. I had to wait for it for 1 hour... no exaggeration ... and together with me all my colleagues. I recommended and booked this restaurant for our joint gathering after our team meeting. Imagine my embarrassment forcing all of them prolonging their return home just because of bad service, and their frustration channeled to me. When dessert finally arrived at table and the owner sensed my "evil-eye" he mistook it as astonishment for the portion seize. No clue that we'd been waiting for ages. I explained and he apologized by friendly tap on my shoulder. Physical contact!!!!What's wrong with your service skills? I am a customer, not your friend. Untrained and indifferent personnel ... cleaned half of the table and then waited behind the cashier. Bill per person ~30 eur, so you would expect much better service, instead of one hour waiting with the leftovers in front of you. No remorse, nothing offered as a token of apology for the delay. Just an advice... when you fail miserably on service you offer something as a way to "compensate", the coffee or desert, or some drinks, or cognac. Anything to indicate your fault ... you don't say "but it tasted good"In brief: If you have never had before such a bad service, destroying the mood and the joy of tasty dishes, you have to visit this restaurant.

located un the heart of the little Meerbusch-Lank village it always feels like vacation while staying in this great restaurant. Excellent dishes, original Italian taste and well served by a very nice host and his staff. We have tried pastas, seafood and meat dishes - all were excellent and pefectly maintained. Although, no pizzas, what represents the style and atmosphere of this little restaurant jewel.

Tonight, we went to the restaurant Late Weinschaenke in Meerbusch-Lank. What an awesome place! The restaurant is quite new. Alte Weinschänke is located in a pedestrian area in Meerbusch-Lank in an old building. The building is very well retaliated with a fireplace in the middle of the restaurant, comfortable chairs and nice tables. It's a beautiful mix of old and modern. We had a trilogy of salmon with a perfectly done grilled pice of salmon, a salmon tartare and a pice of Balik salmon. the main course was a wonderfully prepared halibut filet with sweet potato gnocchi and a fantastic foam sauce. The halibut was quite a large portion. Therefore, we skipped the desert but rounded of the meal with a glass of grappa provided by the owner. The service was excellent. I made a reservation for a few days from now and I'm convinced that I will not be disappointed. Pricing was not cheap but absolutely in line with the service and quality provided. Late Weinschaenke is defiantly a great addition for Meerbusch and the North Dusseldorf area.
