Whilst staying at The Rhine Hotel Dreesen we decided to 'push the boat out' and eat in âRestaurant Gobelinâ. Quite expensive but well worth the experience. We started with soup which is not our normal choice but this was excellent. Asparagus for me and Tomato and Lentil with a 'lamb spike' for my wife. We both had Monkfish and King Prawn with a herb crust and little, roasted, new potatoes. A very good bottle of a local 'Konigswinter' white was just the wine to accompany the meal. The service was excellent - a lovely holiday treat>

Great terrace with a view and a large old tree. Menu has many seasonal items. Food is decent but not special. Large wine list by the glass, inexpensive but well equipped. Very friendly staff, funny and knowledgeable. A place for tourists and locals as well. Definitely a place to come back to.

We offered to host our hosts for dinner in Bonn. They are lifetime residents and picked this place. We were delighted!Attentive service, varied menu. Between us, we had fish and meat. Plus desert...The scallop starter was beautifully presented and artfully prepared. The asparagus soup was excellent as well, Iâm told. For my entree, I selected the halibut. Cooked just right with an unusual but good presentation. The veal was a bit disappointingâtypical German brown sauce. The fish duo was more interesting and was a hit with our guest. As I was driving, I had an alcohol free wheat beerâexcellent! The espresso after my meal was not so great...My wife had apple strudel for desert. Very nice. The view of the Rhine and the hills on the East bank is amazing. Worth an early-ish reservation. So aside from the disappointing veal, the evening was a success!Total tab for four with drinks came to EUR 189.

We met Doris and Alex here for lunch before setting out for Konigswinter. The dining room was cozy and very old German. Our lunches were very good, I had salmon, sliced thinly and uncooked. It was accompanied by roasted potatoes and dill spinach. Even for someone who is not a salmon fan, I enjoyed it. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the view of the Rhein River and the grounds added to the experience.

We decided to use this recommended restaurant for our "German Christmas Menu" when visiting the area with a quite large group of Rotarians. We could not have chosen a better venue. This Restaurant is excellent, the presentation and ambiance was memorable and the food absolutely outstanding. The portions were generous, the service experienced by us was unbelievable and - which does not happen too often- was enthusing about this meal. I would surely recommend the Rheingenuss to anybody and should we, if time allows, return to the area in future, we will most definitely come back, both, with our group and also when travel individually. Welll done! We had a great and memorable time.

Gaststätte Bredershof dates from the 17th century and is located close to the Rhine River in Niederdollendorf, a suburb of Köningswinter. You can dine in the restaurant or in the Biergarten in the courtyard. Service is efficient and friendly. Decoration and table decoration give the establishment a relaxed ambiance. In summer it is nice to dine or have a beer in the Biergarten. We came for dinner on a weekday. The terrace was busy, a good sign. There are 2 menus: one for the restaurant and one for the Biergarten. Both menus offer traditional German dishes.Surprisingly we could not order a dish from the restaurant when dining in the Biergarten. We found this rule over-the-top and rather silly. We went for the Biergarten menu. Food was OK. We recommend Gaststätte Bredershof to anyone who seeks OK German food at a reasonable price.

Good quality, reasonably priced German food. Also I imaging the terrace would be nice to sit out and have a drink in summer.Staff very friendly and helpful.....However, very busy - booking advised, and closes at 22.00 so not for a late night meal.

Ever since I came to Germany, I wanted to taste authentic local food. This place was recommended by a family member, and indeed its memorable. Overlooking breathtaking views of nearby vineyards, green hills and lovely architecture. It offers lovely food, and a great family and formal atmosphere. I wish the weather was nicer, because the owner would have had an open fire barbeque, but this is another reason to let me visit when the sun is shining! Its self-service though, failing which, it would have gotten a perfect 5, but, the staff are never the less very friendly. The place, also has a couple of goats running around, and a small childrenâs playing area, which is amazing for families. sehr gut

In a stunning old house on a tree lined street, parking is easy and the welcome very genuine. Experience and longevity in the business shows in the relaxed but very professional ambience and service, quality and originality. A small restaurant....quality not quantity is best as always. Two experienced ladies front of house, and a team of ...not sure how many...in the kitchen. With each dish the chef arrived to explain the ingredients...in German and in English for our table of mixed nationalities. Every dish was a delight, a taste sensation and with an interesting mix of ingredients, surprises and delights for all the senses. We were there on a chilly Thursday night in October....not a table was empty.

I have picked Reduttchen restaurant based on good reviews I read on TripAdvisor on a recent visit to Bonn. I have to concur with the good reviews. Service was excellent, with great attention to details and the needs of diners. The food was exceptionally presented and very tasteful. Between the 5 of us, we had tasted most of the menu. We were all highly satisfied. The selection of dished is rich and diverse; the presentation is enticing; the taste is amazing. It is also very reasonably priced. I highly recommend it! I would like to point out the Pina Colada dessert; it is a celebration of coconut ice cream on a crunchy bottom, submerged in a pineapple sauce. It was absolutely delicious.Dear tlvla, many thanks for the great compliments. It's nice to hear that TripAdvisor reviews have been confirmed. Because the good reviews are for us the reason to continue to work on us.Also, since you made such a good review, maybe helping other guests find their way to us, thank you.Since even many Bonner have not noticed what is hiding in Bad Godesberg. ;)And if you are from sunny California again in Bonn, we look forward to welcoming you in the Redüttchen. The Redüttchen team
