This small, family friendly restaurant is like window to an alternate reality. The reality where we wait for our food patiently while it's cooked just in the same room while indulging some vary tasty wine. The atmosphere inside is so warm and friendly that you just want to stay or come back as soon as you can. The feeling is just one of those warm and fuzzy ones like you would have from your childhood. Their speciality, among other things, is the flammkuchen which is a thin layered bread with some onions and small-cut smoked meat. These all is prepared right there in the same room and baked in the oven right there so that you can smell your food cooking - like in your home. Their menu contains variety of flammkuchen prepared in different styles as well as some other home made yummy food which I wait for my next visit to taste. The best time to visit is in the evenings when all dine under the candle-light and view the pedestrian street life just outside on RochusstraÃe where it is situated. The most memorable visit was during one winter evening when the inner magic of this establishment and the snow outside made one of the best experiences that I have experienced recently.

La Cigale is a welcoming place, that is obviously a bit more expensive than the rest, but the food was excellent from start to finish. Seating was comfortable, and the waiting staff were nice, professional, and nonobtrusive. Located in the pedestrian area.

A nice restaurant, serving Bavarian beer (Paulaner) as well as typical German and Bavarian dishes. We had a couples of beers, half a roasted duck and a schnitzel. The quality of the food is good, nothing to complain.Prices area average, most main dishes vary from 12 to 16 euros, so the value for money is really good.Service is friendly.

When we entered, we asked for a table inside and were shown a table right next to entrance with lots of people traffic. The waiter didnt even ask if it was ok and left without looking at us. We left right away, naturally.

We had dinner here, sat outside on a nice terrace. The service (by owner?) was outstanding and attentive. Restaurant has a nice selection of wines by the glass. The food is not expensive and they have a nice selection: apps, salads, meats, risotto and pasta. Also several vegetarian choices. Recommend it! It is a little walk from the centre, past the new city hall.

Felix Kaspar is an amazing chef with incredible innovation. The explosion of tastes in the mouth, coupled with amazing presentational skills, renders a dinner at this restaurant an experience above all other michelin starred restaurants in Bonn. Being a relatively new addition to the scene, there are still some teething pains that will no doubt be fixed as the restaurant matures. One issue was the unacceptably long wait between each course and the next; the whole meal lasted five whole hours - possibly a sign of an understaffed kitchen that day! We skipped the petit fours at the end since we could no longer stay seated... Nonetheless, I have no doubt that the second Michelin star is forthcoming sooner rather than later.

The restaurant is located in an old building in the centre of one of the villages that forms Bornheim. The bosses, a young couple, are nice and the dishes are yummy. I found a little bit expensive though. I had âRheinischer Sauerbratenâ which was very delicious. My friend had a steak which was delicious too.

It is not expected to be found such a nice small restaurant in a hidden alley of Bonn!!! A really nice surprise...Sea food but also meat is served at the place I was with a big group and everything seemed week cooked and all my group enjoy it.The fillet looked amazing as also the entrants of lentils soup... I had the "surprise menu" that had a kalamari first plate and a chicken fillet a SA second ... very well cooked.. Everything nice in a nice atmosphere... in respect to wine we had a German Pinot grizio (!!!!) tasting as bizzar as it sounds!! I am not aware of the price yet I heard it's expensive... I can only recommend it as a nice surprise to the otherwise mediocre restaurants of Bonn ...
