Needing somewhere to eat, we decided to eat here and were not disappointed. We had starters and main and the quality of the food was excellent. The staff are friendly and the price was reasonable. We might try the hotel next time!!

We found this place on our way to visit the city. Among other choices we decided to go for this and it was indeed a very good one. The place is lovely and well decorated. It looks like you're having lunch or dinner in your grandma's house. The service was almost perfect and the food was good with a delicious soup and even more delicious main courses. For lunch you can also have a cheap menu for something more than ten euros per person. We would definitely come back again!!

We had reserved a table for a special occasion with some German friends. When we arrived we were led to a beautifully decorated table with a five-armed chandelier, vine-leaves, artfully folded napkins and other decorative touches. The staff was well-trained and showed a genuine, natural friendliness. The food arrived perfectly timed for all seven of us. We all had different meals, but they were all of the highest quality and the presentation was also excellent. As far as presentation is concerned, I think German restaurants in general have come a long way in recent years, and now that Germany has finally caught up to the rest of the world in the smoking issue we had a top-notch dining experience at the Ratskeller St. Georg.

My partner and I been for drinks several times over the last few months. The location is lovely - right in the middle of the historic city centre. The staff are great, very professional. The restaurant itself is beautiful and well-decorated. I've not been for dinner yet but my partner (who is a chef) has and says the food is amazing, very high quality and really good value for money. I'm looking forward to our next visit.

On a weekday in April we didnât seem to have much choice for dinner in little Bad Sassendorf, where we came to see a spa park that turned out to be undergoing big transformations. The works are even planned to go on until 2020. So we joined other diners in the rather ugly seating area at the back of the Parkhotel. Not exactly the al fresco dining we had in mind. We ordered pork fillet with pepper sauce, potato croquettes and boiled vegetables and a medium-rare grilled steak with green salad and chips. The pork dish was nice but the beef was awful. Boiled rather than grilled and certainly not medium. For 20 euros, we expected better quality. The salad was nice though. Not a place we would recommend.

This was a great take on classic German dishes. Food was beautifully prepared and presented. We were a group of 5 and everyone enjoyed their meal without exception. Staff were super friendly and helpful - even to the uneducated English!! Thank goodness. If you want somewhere that feels a bit special, this is definitely the best place in Soest for that.

..this hotel restaurant has seen much turmoil and many management changes over the past few years, unfortunately not for the better. We "tried" again here recently for old times sake - we celebrated our wedding here with family almost 25 years ago - but the most recent change has again not helped. Disappointing - Gault Mileu mentioned them years ago...

We were for a dinner at a Thursday night at Junker's. It was a spontaneous visit during a longer trip we were on and having a hungry stomach. The restaurant is between Soest and Lippstadt at the B1. The atmosphere is very good. Nice ambiance. Nice decoration of the restaurant with African style elements. The owner really gave it a worth. They have Italian food like pizza and pasta, but also a very good German menu. No standard stuff, but good ingredients with special combinations which is really surprising. Thet serve you a very well tasting amuse as a welcome. Prices of mains are between EUR 12 and EUR 20, so slightly more expensive than the traditional German schnitzel but worth for sure. Lot of parking space. Nice bar. And a very nice 'Biergarten' which we unfortunately could not occupy because it was too cold. Staff serves quick and adequate. Clean toilets.

The only Soester brewery When the Peace of Westphalia riders after the 30 year war between Munster and Osnabruck were traveling, as the half-timbered building of Renaissance beamed even from a quiet comfort. That has not changed in the last 400 years. Fro
Forget the food just sample the beers, The dark beers are very good for those cold days. Summer is all about the Pils.Mind you the service was a little slow and a massive issue with the wasps, had to move on in the end.Take time to admire the town, very few foreign tourist like ourselves, that is a good thing.
