Welcome to DoubleTree by Hilton Strathclyde. Ideally located in the heart of the central belt, our Strathclyde hotel is just 20 minutes from Glasgow City Centre and 45 minutes from Edinburgh Airport. Nearby attractions include Hampden Park, the Emirates Arena and Tollcross International Swimming Centre. We’re also just 20 minutes from the shops, museums and nightlife of Glasgow city centre.
After a long time not being able to meet with business colleagues over lunch in a restaurant it is good to come back to Hilton Doubletree, Bellshill. The service is excellent and nothing is too much trouble for the staff there. Whether I am meeting for an informal meeting (in the lounge area) or a more formal meeting (in the restaurant) Shirley and Sandra have always made sure myself and any guests are comfortable, at ease and very well looked after. The service is first class and they are always very cheerful, friendly and attentive At the same time they are very courteous and facilitate some privacy when required, if the meeting is more formal or an interview. I rarely experience this level of service elsewhere and is why I will certainly return and recommend to colleagues and friends.

Standards have definitely slipped from my last visit here in 2014, firstly the positives, your staff continue to be charming helpful and a credit to the hotel, always smiling and willing to go the extra mile to help. The room still large and spacious, comfortable bed and was lucky to have a view of the front/side of the hotel overlooking the roundabout, the downside of this was sadly the room was roasting and even with the heating off and windows open it didn't cool it down, fortunately the staff were able to change the fan heater to cold air and this remedied the issue fairly quickly. Now the negatives housekeeping, I am very disappointed in the standard of housekeeping this time around, fairly small areas were overlooked that should've been addressed prior to entering the room. It all began with the room supposedly having been checked off as being cleaned but when I went upstairs to the room it wasn't though my welcome card was sitting (an indicator that it has been checked off), OK no problem the lovely ladies at reception apologised and gave me another room, upon entering I noticed dog hair all over the carpet, I went outside and politely asked if the housekeeper could give it another hoover she agreed and said there had been a guide dog in the room prior to me, dogs aren't an issue so long as you don't see or smell any remnants of their presence, she never apologised for the inconvenience however is what it is ... I then began noticing other areas of uncleanliness such as window ledges being dusty and marked & grouting under the taps in the shower being discoloured. These are are things that you should expect first and foremost with any hotel and it did put me off the hotel, I did have a nice time and no I never said anything about the ledges or grouting because I didn't want them getting the wrong idea about me. I would come back but this wasn't a great experience and hope Dakota can use this constructive criticism to rectify the issues where their housekeeping is falling a bit flat in places, I did read that they struggle to get 90+ rooms done in the short time before check-in, maybe this is a place to start, your housekeepers truly do try their best, the room wasn't like it was filthy and you can see effort is definitely put in. But they must have to cut corners in order to get such a large amount of rooms complete. You have a beautiful hotel in Dakota Eurocentral, it has a great reputation which I'd hate to see marred by poor hygiene and housekeeping practices.

The BEST WESTERN Moorings Hotel provides the magic near Motherwell! Built in 1891 as the private home for a member of a famous Scottish steel dynasty, our beautiful main building has held its charm and offers a unique, understated and timeless air of refinement to this day. The surroundings are undeniably chic, but the overall ambience remains humble enough to be homely. A "B" listed building within a local conservation area, BEST WESTERN Moorings Hotel has built on its 19th century roots to meet 21st century needs and provides guests with classic character. We still have some of the original stained glass windows, and our hospitality is traditional and unintrusive.
We have stayed here for a local Annual event for the last 15 or so years apart from 2020 and 21 due to covid. As always a very enjoyable stay in a reasonably priced hotel close to the town centre and all local amenities. Looking forward to returning next year.

Hotel its self is nice, bar and restaurant area is clean and smart. The rooms could do with updating a little bit but the do what they need to do. If you have any children be careful with the hot water as extremely hot, the taps were the wrong way round one the bath hot was on the right not the left. Can trick you out. At the minute building work is going on around most of the area surrounding the hotel, this was a little bit of a inconvenience as they starting working at 7, petrol grinders, jcb diggers.

6 of us booked for dinner, however the menu is extremely limited. Lovely pub, very clean and spacious, staff are friendly and polite.....however we were extremely disappointed with the choice of food and therefore left to eat elsewhere. There is loads of potential for The Commercial to be a great place but customers need more choice.

If you're visiting for work, our south east Glasgow hotel really is the business, with plenty of conference facilities nearby. At the end of a long day, recharge in one of our super comfy new generation bedrooms, with an impressive 40" flat screen TV, freshly-updated bathroom with large shower head, and brand new, slumber-inducing, king-size Hypnos bed. We're handy for tourist and leisure attractions too, including nail-biting sporting action at Ravenscraig and world-class acts at the Edinburgh Fringe. Catch a white- knuckle ride at M&D's theme park, paint the town red with some great nightlife and live bands, or watch the blues at Ibrox: you're bound to have a colourful time in Glasgow. And then it's back to the hotel for a slap-up meal at our Brewer's Fayre restaurant.
I had the MOST fantastic experience here when staying for a few days. The staff are so lovely, the rooms are fresh and new and the bed linen/duvets and pillows are all brand new and the comfiest I’ve ever slept in! It was the perfect location for me to get to work in either Edinburgh (jump on the M8) or Glasgow (M8 or M74) The one staff member I have to single out was Denise. She was such a help to me and incredibly generous with her time. She brought me a portable heater to help me get washing dry as I was staying away from home for over 2 weeks. Nothing was too much hassle and she was a really lovely, warm person who made customers feel very welcome. I have been back a number of times since and now request my work to book this one over any other in/around Glasgow. It’s a bonus if Denise is working while I’m there - she always remembers my name, and even my voice when I’ve phoned with any questions. I can’t say enough good things about this Premier Inn. I used to think Premier Inn and Travelodge were of similar standard but that is now so far from the case. It’s in a different class entirely whilst still being comparable (and often cheaper!) on price. I hope this hotel realise what a gem they have in Denise and what a credit she is to the company. The experience has made me return several times and I will continue to do so!

First the plus points: This is a nice enough hotel & it’s tucked away which makes it a quiet enough place to go. It is looking as if it needs a revamp though - quite dated- but still ok. Food was ok. However, the staff that we dealt with on 2 occasions this year just seemed very grumpy & had no pride in their work in general. Not directly rude to us but not once did I see them actually smile. Never experienced this before in any hotel. The room we stayed in was ok, but not worth the money. The second time we went to check out the venue to maybe book a function in the main room after calling up. The woman tasked with showing us around on the day actually sighed & made us feel as if we were disturbing her. She started the conversation as we walked through to the rooms by saying “Nobody told ME you were coming”. She then pointed into the large room & walked away. Needless to say we’ve held our function elsewhere. Maybe the staff were under stress behind the scenes that we didn’t see? Whatever was going on they really need to somehow change that. I don’t like leaving negative reviews & understand that the hospitality trade has had a rough time recently but this hotel needs an overhaul & staff morale boost.

Choices, choices: the cool culture of Glasgow, or the elegance of Edinburgh - why not choose both, by staying at Premier Inn Hotel Glasgow Motherwell? Based near the M8, you're perfectly placed for either city, as well as a many tourist attractions and business venues. Watch the royal regiments marching at Edinburgh's Military Tattoo. Or enjoy a right royal knees up along the clubs of Glasgow's Sauchiehall Street. Treat the little princesses to a fab day out at M&Ds, or watch Queen's Park F.C. play at Hampden Park. Then come back for a meal fit for Henry VIII at our Beefeater restaurant, and a lovely comfy bed.
Check in wasn't until 3pm but we arrived early. The manager Fraser was so friendly and helpful. He checked if our rooms were ready so he could get us checked in early, which was lovely. Other staff member Carol was also really helpful with nothing being too much trouble from her and any of the team. Including providing a fan and extension lead. Rooms were really clean and tidy. Food in the restaurant was excellent. On our departure we were given a lovely gift of sweets for our long journey home. We've had a lovely stay and couldn't wish for more from Fraser, Carol and the team. Thanks we will definitely be back. X

Booking the room was easy. When I turned the owner greeted me in a warm and friendly manner. The hallway was tastefully decorated and the premises clean and tidy. The room itself was cosy, with everything I needed for my short (two-night) stay. Would recommend to anyone looking for a place in the area, especially with it being so close to the train station, thus providing easy access to both Glasgow and Edinburgh.
