We like coming here usually on a Saturday. There is plenty of seating too but we normally get takeaways. I love their fried chicken cutlet with noodles, bok choy and soup. Other favourites are their steamed chicken on rice, and their crispy noodles with tofu. The staff are always friendly and boy are they quick!! They live up to their name express!

I,ve been going there for years now, great food, always supportive, prices recently gone up but quality still the same but charging dining in prices for takeaway meals? OUTRAGEOUS! I,m expecting something from them before I return....Loyalty from customers is paramount, if they choose to ignore it, I'll eat elsewhere.

The best Chinese food I've had - take it from a Chinese person myself. They do takeout as well. The food is consistently excellent, and so authentically tasty too! Items a bit pricey though! They give you a awesome little chinese traditional appetizer at the start for free. The food tastes like its been expertly cooked and lovingly crafted: their noodles, dumplings and pancakes etc are all handmade!! The place is always packed too, because it really is great. It's halal too: the chef and owners are Hui chinese muslims. You will not be disappointed!!! This is my favorite restaurant- I always walk out of that place with a food baby!

Have previously eaten here about a dozen times, but not recently. Went here last Monday with wife and friends. We started with some appetizers, crispy tofu, stuffed mushrooms, and steamed dumplings. All were very tasty, especially the crispy tofu. All four of us had a siss;ing dish, but all different namely spicy beef, spicy lamb, chicken satay, and spicy squid. All four dishes were very good with plenty of vegetables in the dishes. Service was good and efficient, despite the restaurant being very busy. Mr Ji's kitchen continues to deliver high quality and tasty meals and we will definitely continue to eat here for as long as they remain open.

New Fortuna is an authentic Chinese restaurant with very good and reasonibly priced dishes. We went there three times in a span of 10 days. The steamed fish (blue cod) with scallions and ginger was excellent. It easily fed two people and was a bargain at NZ $48. We also tried the Yumcha on a Sunday and the quality could easily rival with that in the China Towns in San Francisco or New York. It was also priced very reasonably. We also tried the Peking Duck two ways. They first serve the skin traditionally with thin pancakes, cut scallions, cucumbers and carrots. The skin was beautifully crisp and aromatic but the pancakes were a bit too thick and already cold by the time they arrived at the table. The second batch we ordered was hot though. The plum sauce was a tick too thick and we have had better. The second course was the red meat of the duck cooked with onions and bell pepers and it was served with crips lettuce leafs. The meat was nicely seasoned (may be a bit too salty) but was great to eat with the lettuce leafs. Overall the dish is still very recommendable, especially at NZ $ 68 for two. Service was friendly (unusual for genuine Chinese places) and efficient. Recommended!

We dined here with my parents and two 5 yr olds. We didnât have a reservation, but were swiftly ushered to a suitable table. Orders were taken when they saw we were ready and less than 10-15 mins later the food started to arrive. We ordered salt & pepper squid, minus the spice for the kids. Beef and black bean, orange chicken, chicken & vegetable schezwan, and another chicken & veggie dish followed, plus an entree of pork dumplings and rice for the table. Food was packed full of flavour and the kids were going crazy with all the entertainment of the multiple dishes arriving and being shared. Service was very good. This is a great spot for uncomplicated, quick food that appeals to the whole family. We will definitely be back the next time we are in town.
