We had breakfast here, clean, fast and delicious meal. Also brought lunch for later, delicious too, lovely well filled sandwiches, and good assortment of cakes and slices.

A new family favourite, great atmosphere to enjoy friends and families. Our hostess made us feel very welcomed and when we requested a change to the kids menu it was no trouble at all.Although it was the middle of winter the grounds and gardens were still looking amazing- can't wait to return in mid Spring.

Enjoy quality Espresso, delicious menu and cabinet food in a modern and fresh environment. An assortment of Gluten Free range and meals that can be changed to suite a special diet. All food is made and cooked onsite, from House-smoked salmon to slow cooked
We stopped for brunch and ordered a salmon croissant and club sandwich and coffee.Good coffee but the croissant wasnât fresh and was drowned in odd tasting sour cream. We gave up on the meals leaving partially eaten.

Matamataâs coolest little cafe. Serving great coffee, delicious breakfasts, lunches, and amazing home baking.!
A quick breakfast while waiting for a car service. This cafe looked interesting.Staff were very friendly, happy and helpful. The food delicious. Fast service.Tea came with 2 teapots (tea +water) and a jaffa. Saw someone else with a fish. We ordered a child's meal each and it was a lot... egg, toast, hash brown and bacon. Also grabbed a giant cinnamon scroll that was very fresh. Lots of icing on it but was a mild sweetness and not overdone. Will return here Thanks for your kind review. We are glad you enjoyed your experience. Hope to see you again.

Please take note that we accept Visa and Master Card. There is a car park across the road from us, street parking and our building is wheelchair accessible. A small cafe (not restaurant) with a Hobbit theme where our customers can use our hobbit ears, etc
The meat pies are excellent, one of the best we've eaten! The owner is very friendly. The cafe also does deals like $1 muffins with coffee etc. Two thumbs up!

We've been here a few times on the way to Auckland from Rotorua, and their food is always good. They cater for most tastes and have a wide range of foods. The option of eating inside when its cold or rainy, or outside when its nice adds to the atmosphere.Well worth the effort of stopping.

We frequently have lunch here when going through Matamata and always enjoy the food. They have some great crepes - both savoury and sweet with gluten free options. Well worth a visit!

Workman's café is a fun friendly environment that happily serves great coffee and fresh local food six days and nights a week,[ Tuesday through to Sunday ] we take pride in what we do and how we present ourselves. Great comfy chairs, great sounds, fab amb
What we were looking for was a quick meal to take away and eat in our motel room; after a long day of driving in some terrible weather we didnât feel much like being out in public. What we found however was the host of all hosts, who greeted us at the door as we were reading the menu. He didnât push us to come in, and in fact told us that a couple of other places on the street were worth a visit. His honesty, his energy and genuine interest in us, and his menu, drew us in anyway. And what a fantastic meal we had, with our host sitting down with us at the end to show us a map and give us inside info on where to go when we hit the road again tomorrow. This place is SO worth a visit; delicious food, quirky atmosphere, dashing and gregarious host and, as promised, the best looking staff around Loved loved loved LOVED IT Hey BecWA234, I remember you too the good looking Aussie couple that felt a little bedraggled but by the time you where feed and watered you both left with a spring in your step. Thanks for your wonderful review it is much apricated and great for my team to read as it confirms that we are on the right track ,I hope the rest of your trip was fantastic cheers Syd.
