Reviews on Fusion food in Papamoa, North Island, New Zealand. Papamoa Beach is a suburb of Tauranga, located about 11 kilometres from the city centre. It is the largest residential suburb in Tauranga, having a population of 20,091 at the 2013 census. It is bordered to the west by Mount Maunganui (east of Sunrise Avenue and Hibiscus Avenue), the east by the Kaituna River (separating it from the Western Bay of Plenty District) and to the south by State Highway 2. Papamoa Beach has 16km of white sandy beach stretching from the boundary with Mount Maunganui in the west to the Kaituna River in the east. Widespread settlement of the area did not start until the early 1980s and prior to this Papamoa Beach had been largely a rural area. Once a small and tight knit community, many of Papamoa Beach's sweeping paddocks have been swallowed up by urban development. Papamoa Beach is currently one of the fastest growing suburbs of Tauranga, with many different subdivisions developing concurrently on different blocks of land on the fringes of the suburb.

Our party of four celebrated a 30th birthday here. Outside there was plenty of parking. Inside we had a fabulous table near a window looking out to the harbour. Venue score 10/10.The complementary amuse bouche excited our palettes for the courses that followed. For entrees we selected Sourdough Bruschetta, Miso and Lime Ora King Salmon and Banana Prawns. We shared a morsel with each other, and they were all delicious. Our main courses were Market fresh fish (snapper), Seared Wagyu Striploin, Silver Fern Lamb Rump and Sous Vide Pork Belly. Each dish was beautifully prepared, cooked and presented. Again we sampled each other's dish and they were wonderful in taste and texture.Meal portions were adequate and we could have left satisfied but we had to look at the desserts! We ordered Espresso Panna Cotta, Dark Chocolate Mousse, and Baked Banana Cheesecake. They did not disappoint! Overall food score 9.5/10.In addition to the fine dining, we enjoyed a selection of New Zealand wines. The service was excellent throughout the evening. As an adult family the best birthday presents we can give each other are enjoyable memories. What an amazing restaurant! The decorations are really imaginative and next level, good music, chill vibes and pleasant staff. Itâs just a shame about the tapas. Perhaps the regular menu is nice but we didnât try it (apart from the kids chicken and rice which ended up being the nicest dish we tried). The tapas is fairly sub par, average at best and overly dry at worst. Seems like a nice place to go for drinks.

Popped in on a sunny Saturday morning for an eggs Benedict and a peroni. Service was fast and very friendly. Our benes were delicious and being served on the roasti was a nice touch. Beer was cold. Came in with Family for brunch and everyone enjoyed their meals and the price is generous as well according to food quality and quantity just a little disappointed with Service, as i order coffee and it did not came on table ever and staff did not bother to meal check our table or ask for something extra, it was too late to ask for coffee anyway. waitress take it out from our bill which was good, we will come back for food as we really enjoyed it.Awesome to hear the food was excellent and well portioned. It is shame to hear we let you down on the coffee, and missed our usual meal check which would have resolved this for you. We appreciate this feedback as it allows us to smarten up and review adherence to our processes. Thanks for posting useful feedback.

Admittedly we did arrive at this bar around early on a Friday afternoon, so we couldn't have expected the place to be pumping. In saying that, the Happy Hour had been open an hour already so we were a little wary when we found ourselves standing in a deserted bar. Still, the barman was welcoming, and gracious - mixing some delicious cocktails, and checking in on us regularly. My only complaint is that the menu offered a special price for ordering a cocktail and a plate of edamame beans. However, when it came time to pay we had to pay full price for both items (rather than the special price) since the barman explained that the cash register dictated the prices and he wasn't able to edit them. Hmmmm. Not a huge deal, just a little inconvenient.Hi TeaIanSorry to hear your experience wasn't 100% satisfactory, the bartenders response was wrong and we apologies for this.
