The worst of all the Chinese food I had in New Zealand! The owners were very friendly, hard working and accommodating. But the dishes were not good. They looked better than they taste. The wonton was soggy and the meat tasted veer. The fried rice was the easiest thing to make but was just mediocre. The roast pork was dry. But while we were there eating our meal, there were so many people coming in to order fish and chip, I believed their fish and chips must be good and we ordered the wrong thing. The location was good.

It was pleasant to go to this Chinese Restaurant and not be presented with multiple pages of similar items or variations of dishes. The food was well presented in a beautiful appointed Restaurant with the theme of Gold and Red. Typical, but set a traditional atmosphere. The music was pleasant, mostly instrumental with an undertow of the orient. The food was well presented and had good flavor. The staff was helpful and very pleasant.

Coming from a country that prides itself for Chinese cuisine, this restaurant serves horrible food, probably good enough only to fool the Caucasian tastebud. Ordered the vege mee goreng and it tasted like the noodles were silly sloppily fried with curry powder and vegetables thrown into the wok. I left more than half the plate of noodles unfinished as simply could not stomach the rest.

We often ask locals to recommend food places and this was certainly a winner. We had lovely fish and chips, well cooked with crispy batter over fresh fish and good chips. Good menu with something to suit everyone. Check out some of the meal deals if you have a good appetite!

We always went to this take away when we lived in Taupo, and now after coming back for a couple of weeks - they are still consistently awesome! We love the variety & especially the fresh fish and scallops.

Our hotel receptionist suggested this restaurant and said itâs very good. She was right. It was dark when we arrived, otherwise we could have enjoyed a view of the lake while dining. We started with Indochinese noodles as a shared appetizer. Hot, spicy and delicious. The naans were very tasty. I had gobi (cauliflower) and my husband ordered dal (lentil). Our son had the lamb curry. The gobi and dal were very good and stuck to traditional authenticity. I didnât eat the lamb but my husband and son enjoyed it. The service was friendly.
