Wairarapa paddocks serve up some of the best seasonal and organic produce weâve ever stumbled across. Come and savour some with a local drop.

The Greytown Hotel Restaurant came recommended by a nice German girl at Schubert Wines in Martinborough. We went for lunch and had the bar area to ourselves. The two bar ladies were very friendly and nice to talk to. The burger and fries were delicious and the beer was good too. It was a very pleasant stop on our way to Napier. We left for our long drive ahead, very happy and satified. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting lovely Greytown.Hello DeeszignerThanks for your nice review glad you enjoyed our bar meals, would be lovely to see you again on your travels.

Stopped in for lunch during the Carterton Daffodil Festival and was extremely disappointed by the quality of food. The food trucks outside offer better quality for much less. I had the wedges which were smothered in a cheap Ol' El Paso style sauce that clearly came out of a jar. I could not finish my meal. We also ordered the garlic bread. The bread was completely saturated with butter to the point that it was soggy and inedible. It was just gross. I asked if that was the way it always is and was given the response "I don't know". So that's 2 items that were not eaten. Another member of my party had a chicken salad which left her unsatisfied. We visit Carterton from time to time and was hoping this would be a regular place for us but sadly today was the first and last time we will dining here.

Country bar and restaurant catering to local farmers and those from further afield. Good honest food, prepared with fresh local ingredients. At the heart of the Wairarapa wine trail, we showcase local wines, in particular those from the Gladstone area. Cr
I donât have a bad word to say. We bought my grandmother for lunch on Labor Day. We were greeted warmly, given the daily specials and offered drinks while we decided on lunch. The food was served promptly, it was hot and fresh and seemed to be locally sourced. What a beautiful view over the surrounding farmland and river. Thank you for a lovely experience. Many thanks for your lovely review, the team get excited and started texting early this morning to ensure we had read the reviewWhere ever possible we source local products and stock entirely local wines from the Gladstone areaIn the summer on a nice day our garden bar is extremely popular and we are kids and dog friendlyWe hope to see you again soon

Balter Bar was recommended to us when out at a winery, and what a pleasant place it was. Situated in the middle of the town and open during Sunday (one of the few there), it serves predominantly tapas-style food (mushrooms, lamb, squid, mussels etc). There's a very good and potentially upmarket wine list, as well as other beverages, which I guess is normal for a bar.Pricing is mid-range and service comes with free smiles. Worth visiting.
