This has to be one of the best fish and chips shops I have ever eaten at. The seafood is fresh and cooked perfectly. The Kumar chips were delicious and the prawns amazing. All this and reasonably priced. Will definitely visit again.

Ok, I have tried a lot of burgers over the years, and in my 20 yrs in Canada, have been to some highly recommended burger joints. And out of all the tasteings, we managed to develo what I thought was one of the best burgers around. Guess I was wrong. When we got back to NZ, my wife started researching great burgers, and persuaded me to try Mad Burger when we were in town. My thoughts were why waste money on something I rule at. Wow, best burger ever eaten. And the friendly owner, his attention to quality and willingness to stop and chat. We will be back. And hopefully I will have room after the burger to try the amazing looking cheesecakes..

Travelling to Auckland from Tauranga. Needed to stop after a couple of hours driving and Miranda beckoned via Google!The hot springs are the prime draw here. A well organised swimming pool with lockers and changing rooms complemented by private spa tubs.We ordered the special fish menu and shared that. The fish we chose was cod and at A$16 we shared a generous amount of chips and 4 large pieces of fish which were superb!The service was very good and we sat under the canopy by the pool listening to the music and watching the swimmers.
