Reviews on Brew Pub food in Papamoa, North Island, New Zealand. Papamoa Beach is a suburb of Tauranga, located about 11 kilometres from the city centre. It is the largest residential suburb in Tauranga, having a population of 20,091 at the 2013 census. It is bordered to the west by Mount Maunganui (east of Sunrise Avenue and Hibiscus Avenue), the east by the Kaituna River (separating it from the Western Bay of Plenty District) and to the south by State Highway 2. Papamoa Beach has 16km of white sandy beach stretching from the boundary with Mount Maunganui in the west to the Kaituna River in the east. Widespread settlement of the area did not start until the early 1980s and prior to this Papamoa Beach had been largely a rural area. Once a small and tight knit community, many of Papamoa Beach's sweeping paddocks have been swallowed up by urban development. Papamoa Beach is currently one of the fastest growing suburbs of Tauranga, with many different subdivisions developing concurrently on different blocks of land on the fringes of the suburb.

Popped over for dinner & had a great night. Enjoyed the open mic live music & the food. My partner is GF&vegetarian and the staff were very accommodating. The chef even came to our table for a chat about gf stuff! Well definitely be back.

Have had dinner here a few times. Much better to come on one if the nights they have specials, like 2 for 1 pizzas. Usually have to wait a while for food, but it is pretty giid for pub style food. Like the choices of beers and cider, probably at the upper limit of what im prepared to pay though. The outdoor area definitely makes it family friendly.

We loved the old Hop House in Mt Maunganui. The new one in a beautiful old building in Wharf Street Tauranga CBD is even better. Cool decor, great selection of craft beers, top notch food and excellent service. Donât miss steak night on Wednesday or the $15 Sunday roast. This place is up there with the very best craft beer pubs we have been in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.
