The venue itself is lovely, food was simple, refined and of a very high standard. Excellent customer service, one of our diners was gf/do and still had an excellent range to choose from, and was given gluten free bread without request. Canât decide whether my main or the dessert was the highlight. Wonderful experience.

You cannot fault the wonderful customer service at Cafe Polo. Quick, helpful and very friendly. However, today our meals were a little disappointing. Coffee was the main highlight today.

Truly a delight. A great little find in an intimate setting. One of the best degustations we have had in a few years and worth every penny. The team were wonderful, the food was divine and a wine match that actually lived up to the promise. Already re-booked and can't wait.

Our daughter told us Prefab had the best Seafood Chowder ever! We tried it. - she was right- fantastic! Great consistency, plenty of seafood, with a potato cheese crust- delicious. The crusty chewy bread-roll, just how I like it! The bowl of chip, the way chips should be.To top it all off, served by the lovely Bridget. This lady is right in her element, if only all waitresses were as good as Bridget. Prefab was absolutely banging at lunchtime with 6 to 10 waiting all the time we were there.Highly recommend.

Celebrated my birthday here for lunch. My husband mentioned this fact as we were seated and the staff beautifully decorated my dessert plate with âHappy Birthdayâ. We had the set bistro menu which was good value and the food was delicious. Whilst it was fine dining, the portions were small but we were still full after 3 courses. The wine by the glass were standard prices that I would expect to pay elsewhere so donât agree with previous reviewer on that issue. Only reason I gave 4 dots instead of 5 was the waiter asked if weâd like still or sparkling water and we asked for sparkling but then were served still. Also it was extremely quiet with 3 tables occupied including us so hope this is not a sign that they are struggling.Thank you Camda for the lovely review we are so glad you enjoyed everything overall. We are sorry that the waiter served you still water rather than sparkling we will make sure all of our staff are pouring from the correct Nordaq taps to ensure this does not happen again. We do hope to see you in the dining room again soon.

The service was friendly and attentive, and the menu interesting. Very busy night (Tuesday is pub quizz night) but we achieved a reservation in the closed-in patio area. The dishes were varied: excellent starters, mains huge for the basic fish and chips, minimal for the fish of the day. The lamb rumps were disappointingly not as rare as expected but still good.

Food nicely presented and very cheerful service. Due to the confined space is noisy and a bit overwhelming when busy, however for many this would add to its charm. Interesting menu. Definitely a very popular cafe with people waiting to be seated, however efficiently managed.
