Papamoa Beach is a suburb of Tauranga, located about 11 kilometres from the city centre. It is the largest residential suburb in Tauranga, having a population of 20,091 at the 2013 census. It is bordered to the west by Mount Maunganui (east of Sunrise Avenue and Hibiscus Avenue), the east by the Kaituna River (separating it from the Western Bay of Plenty District) and to the south by State Highway 2. Papamoa Beach has 16km of white sandy beach stretching from the boundary with Mount Maunganui in the west to the Kaituna River in the east. Widespread settlement of the area did not start until the early 1980s and prior to this Papamoa Beach had been largely a rural area. Once a small and tight knit community, many of Papamoa Beach's sweeping paddocks have been swallowed up by urban development. Papamoa Beach is currently one of the fastest growing suburbs of Tauranga, with many different subdivisions developing concurrently on different blocks of land on the fringes of the suburb.

Licensed restaurant, Bar, Wines, Beer, Italian style dining, fresh homemade pasta, meat, seafood, salad or side
We wondered in on a Saturday night looking for a table for two. The Barman did say they were full but had us sit down at the bar while he looked for a table. We were given a table up stairs by the window. Wonderful setting. Very Italian and the food was very tasty. We chose a bottle of Shiraz which was also wonderful. One of the best Italian meals we have had. The veal Marsala was devine. Thank you for making our night wonderful. We are so glad you enjoyed your meal here with us ! Thanks for your feedback, really appreciate

This used to be one of the top restaurants (IMO) in Tauranga and we recently visited based on past experience. The table service was really poor we wondered if maybe this had become a training ground for graduates to hospitality, as some of the wait staff had absolutely no clues. The food itself was very ordinary and we were really disappointed that Tauranga had lost what was once a special place.

We have eaten here several times and their Friday special of fish, chips and salad with a glass of wine is only $20 and represents excellent value. Tuesday's 2 for 1 deal is also great value. Food and service cannot be faulted but unfortunately the noise level is deafening

We have forged together an atmosphere of grit and grandeur to set the stage for a delightfully indulgent European dining experience. Brought to life by its Italian owner and classically trained Executive Chef Ian Harrison, no effort has been spared in the
We live near this beautiful refurbished hotel/restaurant/bar. This was our first visit and it felt very special. We dressed up ,reserved a table and were there for 6pm.A sitting is for 2 hours. The food and service were top quality. Our party left early only due to the noise,as the restaurant was fully booked and some patrons were loud. The wood floors didn't help with the noise. We will go back ,perhaps on a week night when the party girls are not.

I have never experienced such misrepresentation of so-called cooked food as by this cafe (sic). My daughter was looking forward to pancakes with a caramel sauce and cream, as promised by the menu. What arrived left us speechless and dumbfounded: three tiny, tiny, tiny pancakes, even smaller than pikelets (the size of an old fifty cent coin), with something that could have been caramel sauce and to top if off, watery whipped cream out of a can. $10: a ripoff. What an affront, insult to what this dish universally looks like. The salmon bagel again left us flabbergasted. An old bagel with a token, lonely bit of salmon spread between it, some lettuce on the plate with a bit of cream-cheese in a container. The customer had to create this boring, unimaginative bagel: the chef didn't even have the professionalism, nor experience to design a flavorsome, exciting multi-layered salmon bagel that slightly stood-out from this kindergarten creation. This place lacks any pride in the food they make, rather what we got was a deceleration of disdain in their costumers (also seen by not labeling their cabinet food with prices). Never again.

Cool, funky relaxed busy cafe minutes walk from Papamoa East Beach. Great food, Organic coffee and friendly service. We cater for all dietary requirements. We have a lot of GF and vegan options
Nice sunny morning, sitting outside at Henry & Ted's for brunch on Father's day with nan & grandies . Great spot for brekkie, place buzzing as usual. Had takeaway coffee from here before thus first time eating here. Great cabinet food selection, typical modern day cafe , plenty of healthy options from either cabinet or from the menu. Had the big brekkie of course, bit of wait ,being fathers day. Food was good ,will return for lunch sometime, the scones here are legendary, they looked good. Recommend for brekkie- brunch.
