Find out what Bar restaurants to try in Tauranga. The lush parks and golden beaches of Tauranga make it a popular destination for outdoorsy folks and watersports lovers. Here on New Zealand’s North Island, you’ll find a variety of opportunities for surfing, white water rafting, kiteboarding, hiking and golfing. Take a refreshing dip in the swimming holes by Kaiate Falls, which cascade beautifully over the bluffs. A special celebratory lunchtime treat turned into utter disappointment sadly. We all ordered Market Fish @ $36 which was supposed to be pan fried with a creamy sauce. What we received was wet fish in a spicy broth, with gnocchi and a few scallops. Definitely not up to the standard expected or previously enjoyed at this restaurant/bar.Change of chef perhaps, but we all agreed that our meals were below par and certainly not as the menu suggested.

Attentive service. Enjoyed watching the team work of the grill crew while we waited for our meals, right down to the team hug at the end off service. Attention to detail and real care for what goes over the counter was obvious and matched by the front of house. Thanks for a great meal.

Four of us dined here in April. It was a spontaneous decision and one that certainly paid off. Two of us ordered the THai Salad and two the Pork belly. Not one of us was disappointed with our meals infact we were all very very impressed with the freshness, flavours and presentation. We couldn't manage dessert which was very annoying because the dessert menu is really really good. It has all the favourites! The wine list was also good. Kylie was our server and her attentiveness and professionalism was second to none. Infact we even asked her if she owned the restaurant as she was going well beyond the call of duty. And she was very patient with us as we shifted table 3 times as we couldn't decide where we wanted to dine...inside or outside? Kylie has worked in the hospitality in Ause and we know they take this industry seriously and are happy and proud to work in it, unlike Kiwi's. She is a huge asset to The Neighbourhood Kitchen. We will most certainly make the restaurant one of our go too's. It is well priced has plenty of parking and ticks all the box's for quality of food and service. Thank you also to the chef's. You are doing a great job!Hi ravinonThank for taking the time to write us such a great review!. We're so glad that you enjoyed everything and we look forward to seeing you again.CheersRohan

Cool decor, great selection of craft beers, top notch food and excellent service. Donât miss steak night on Wednesday or the $15 Sunday roast. This place is up there with the very best craft beer pubs we have been in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth. We decided at the last minute to go out for dinner on New Year's Eve whilst on holiday near Tauranga. Lucky enough to find a table at Nomad early in the evening and we had a lovely time listening to the music and enjoying our food. I had the cauliflower risotto which was so delicious! My husband had the lamb rump which he also enjoyed. Both meals were excellent. We opted for a dessert to share - a chocolate fondant. Heavenly! Highly recommend this restaurant.

Expensive, super expensive. Service takes ages, by the time the food got to our plates it was cold. Asked for an option with no potatoes but salted veggies instead, got boiled Brussels sprouts! Sadly a very bad experience.
