Things to do in Hastings
I did not have high expectations for this place, but even then, they did not meet my low expected standards. I ordered the garlic prawn noodles while my friend ordered the beef fried noodle. The food quality and taste were bad. Price, very expensive compared to other food outlets, and even compared to other similar Asian outlets. I must admit, the portions were generous. The premises were not cleaned after customers had left some time ago, although there were staff sitting around idling. Never coming back!
Hawke's Bay Hastings's best sushi restaurant. The best taste. Beautiful sushi.
The sushi club in Heretaunga street in Hastings is one of the best I have been to.The sushi is always fresh and the variety is great. The servings are quite large and seem to be bigger than the oppositions. It is one of the first places I head to when in Hastings. The staff are always very polite and friendly.

we stopped here to grab some take-away dinner after getting into hastings later than anticipated so most restaurants were closed. The food came quickly and was very nice. they do a take-away special of butter chicken, rice and naan for $10 which is well worth it. service was friendly and i would happily go here again

Went with a friend for a quick meal after movies. No one else in restaurant that should have set off alarm bells, we were waved over to help ourselves to any table, they couldnt even be bothered seating us. It was a public holiday so were were expecting to pay a surcharge which was the first thing they told us when the menus were brought over. We chose and placed our order to be told rice was an extra charge. I expect to pay for rice when i buy takeaway but not when dining in. We left and went to our fav thai restaurant in Hastings where rice is included . Usually service at Thai restaurants is fantastic but not here

Service is usually really friendly, the curries are all delicious (and their butter chicken is one of the best I have ever tried). It's a totally affordable, Indian Take Away.

Enjoy authentic Indonesian cuisine, located in the heart of Hawkes Bay, New Zealand. Fully Licensed. Open 6 days (Monday to Saturday) for Dinner and Takeaways from 5-9 pm. Closed on Sundays and Public Holidays.
Nice crispy springrolls, delicious satay chicken and gorgeous beef rendang.I'm a bit obsessed with beef rendang and this was as good as I was hoping - tasty and with super tender beef. We got takeaways and it was good value, and I liked the fact that most of the packaging was biodegradable and the rest recyclable.Friendly and welcoming people aswell.Thank you so much for such a lovely review. We are so pleased to hear that you really enjoyed your meals, especially our beef rendang! - definitely one of our signature dishes. We look forward to seeing you again soon.

Coming from someone who has lived in Thailand, I can say that this restaurant has very authentic Thai food that is delicious! There is a very big variety of dishes to choose from and even Thai beer! The staff are all Thai too which makes it feel like Thailand has come to you!

We enjoyed our meal. Tasty steamed buns and delicious platters for two. Good variety and taste. Service was excellent - friendly and knowledgeable. The four instead of five rating is because it is fairly expensive, especially some items like the chips and sauce. Iâd go back, especially if the menu is dynamic.
Where to eat Bar food in Hastings: The Best Restaurants and Bars

Went with a group of friends that recommended it but felt very let down. Not greeted as we walked in but managed to find someone we knew already there and seated so knew where to go. No one came to offer drinks so went to the bar and got ours. A long time before the orders were taken and not many gluten free options. Staff didnât seem to care when orders were taken but it was worse when the meal came out. After ordering a gluten free meal for myself I waited for all the meals to come out as the others had chosen to share a banquet. But having asked the waitress where was my g/f meal was told âout there. âFound the green curry which was mine but honestly didnât have a lot of confidence that it was. The attitude of the staff was disappointing. They didnât seem to care.

You turn up compile your meal complete with sauces and oils and they cook it for you. You can go back and try again for seconds or even thirds and the hostess is wonderful and determined you will enjoy yourself.
