Reviews on French food in Zandvoort, North Holland Province, The Netherlands. Zandvort is to Amsterdam what Brighton is to London--a large seaside resort easily reached by train. It takes half an hour to get there from Central Station. It has a long sandy beach and, in common with the rest of the Netherlands coastline, an expanse of sandy dunes which serve to protect the low lying country from the sea. In the summer months, beach bars catering to all tastes line this beach. It is also the site of the Netherlands' most important car racing circuit.

Very happy with the meal here. Vey food fish, good value overall. Appreciate th lack of price gouging on the wine in Dutch restaurants generally. Haarlem has some good restaurant choices, and I would recommend staying there and just taking a day trip into Amsterdam, avoiding as far as possible the tourist crush in the later.

Our dinner at Cheval Blanc was a fantastic experience. Refined food and an excellent service you can find at Cheval Blanc. In one word: Delicious! All dishes we had were very tasteful and beautiful presented. Good wine selections and a professional service. We will become repeaters, no doubt about that..

A small restaurant frequented mainly by locals as it is tucked away at the end of the main restaurant street. There is a small a la carte menu supplemented by daily specials, which represent the finest and freshest meat and produce which are cooked to perfection. The host is very welcoming and personable, and the liqueur coffees are wicked. Highly recommended.

Great wine, delicious and affordable food served with a smile by the owners .
Out of all the new restaurants we visited in Zandvoort this time around, this place had the best overall satisfaction for the money. While the chicken tenders we ordered for our son ended up being too spicy, they still ended up in his parents bellies. lol My wife enjoyed the burger trio (though she said one of them was a little on the dry side so be sure to ask your server for some side sauce) and I absolutely loved the ribs. This place is on our repeat list from now on. See you next year! :)

I went to The Local Bistro last Saturday with 2 friends and we enjoyed every thing about this place. The food was very good and tasty and the service was excellent. They are open during the evenings and the dinner they serve is delicious. As a starter I had the Smoked Salmon and the Gambas for my main, we tried the strawberry tiramisu for dessert and I could've ordered a few more if that would've been acceptable. I would definitely recommend this place and will come again!

What a wonderful place ..! It is worth of their Michelin rating and for me, it is now top of the list. The chefs are simply ARTISTS. They are certainly more than accomplished chefs. The service was superb. The food was to die for. It is not just food. It is poetry in motion. Very grateful to our friends for taking us to this culinary paradise.

Spending our short summer vacation in Zandvoort led us to this beautiful and original restaurant â not at the beach. The primary school themed guest room invited with it's wonderful old-school music playlist to remember my own childhood. The friendly owner and host as well as the lovely and tasty food (cheese fondue tastes great even in summer!) made our evening a great refreshing alternative to the over-crowded beach-front spots. The quaint location will remain an insider tip during summer time maybe. But anybody looking for some nice and honest food as well as a more local atmosphere should really pay a visit to the "De Meester". PS. My 8 year old daughters loved it as well...
