This restaurant is wonderful, very funky décor, very smart. Lovely to see the chefs at work in the open plan environment. We had the tasting menu and let Meijers 'surprise us' which was fantastic. Beautiful albacore tuna delicate and beautifully presented, this was my favourite dish. The veal was fabulous and the dessert great, I had the cheese (when in Holland :) which was generous in portion size and just delicious. A really great end to a special meal with my husband. The bread they served straight away fresh from the local bakery was just heaven. Because we sail in Medemblik frequently we have tried many of the restaurants and so far this is definitely the best. Service was wonderful, thanks so much :)

What a fab little restaurant this is beside the marina. We had the lovely big barge board table with our friends. Service was great, it was very busy so I would recommend booking. I had the smoked sea bass starter which was lovely, very different. Fish for main too which was lovely. Husband had ribs which were huge and delicious. A few shared the stew which came back with glowing reports.

We moored just outside this restaurant and because it was raining one evening decided to try it. What a lovely surprise; a warm welcome and a very different menu, Portuguese, cooked by the Portuguese husband of the Dutch lady who served us - the owners of this restaurant. The food was delicious and a welcome change, fabulous pork fillet. So good we went back the next evening to be greeted as friends. Another great meal, my starter of Chorizo sausages flamed in brandy was a real eye-opener. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Overlooking the harbor from the terrace or the spacious restaurant, this place is a great location. Enjoy your pre-dinner drinks at the terrace behind glass to protect you from the wind. The service is very friendly and the dishes are well prepared and mostly local ingredients. Advisable to make reservations, as this place is well frequented by the locals. No parking hassles, maybe you have to find your way through some parked yachts, but space is ample. They serve good house wines and also have an ample wine menu. We took the 4 course surprise menu, and were indeed pleasantly surprised. Prices in line with location and quality.
