A great selection of teas (and coffees) and the most delicious range of cakes, makes a visit to Stricks essential whenever I visit Bussum. The walnut tart is my favourite but the meringues, macarons, lemon tart, red velvet cake and butter-cake are delicious too! For a really special treat, try the afternoon tea: it's beautifully served in a sort of dolls' house and is a fab mix of savoury and sweet.

I'll preface this review by saying my visit here was for a reception after a funeral. So it was just family and friends. The staff was very friendly and kind. Especially to my daughter who was there. The food brought round was good and I liked that they offered not only high tea type sandwiches but also some more substantial fried bar snack foods. Athough the reason for the gathering was somber, the location was pleasant and it was nicely decorated for the Christmas season.
