In Alkmaar on cheese market day and the place was buzzing. Sunny blue skies. Great atmosphere sitting at Portofino on the terrace overlooking the canal and canal boats. Service was excellent and pizza was just perfect. My husbandâs wheelchair was no problem.

Wooow this is a nice place! I coincidently walked in for a quick dinner and was amazed by the nice atmosphere, cute decoration and friendly waitress. The choice of pizzas is amazing. I went for ham and white truffle, which is really, really, really good. It was served very quick, which is pleasant when dining alone. Had a nice Italian beer with it, and my dinner was perfect. I'm in Alkmaar quite often for work and this is my new number one place for dinner. Love it!!

We decided to visit Angelo's which is located in the centre of Egmond aan Zee. The restaurant was busy and had a nice atmosphere of people enjoying themselves.We ordered Bruschetta Toscana , my wife went for the Gamberetti e Limone Tagliatella and I ordered Pizza Quatro Stagioni. The Bruschetta's tomatoes were not ripe enough and therefor lacking the sweet flavor , the Gamberetti was well prepared , the Pizza was a little pale , could have stayed in the oven a little longer but the flavor was ok.The service was friendly and attentive.Thank you for your tips! Onlangs geopend in Heiloo met uitzicht op het Witte Kerkje: een pizzeria. Een paar uiterst vriendelijke en gastvrije mensen runnen dit bescheiden restaurant. Wij kozen voor de pizza's. (woensdag pizzadag). wat opviel was dat deze helemaal perfect vers bereid waren, geen diepvries of kant-en-klaar spul. Bodem van de pizza uitstekend: niet te dik en zeker niet slap. Erg lekker. Prijs kwaliteit verhouding: goedkoop als je ziet wat je ervoor krijgt.Qua uitstraling moet er nog een en ander gebeuren, het restaurant mag wat vrolijker aangekleed. De plannen daarvoor zijn er al wel. De vriendelijke bediening en de aandacht die je als klant krijgt, maken dat 100% goed. Fijn restaurant voor mensen met kinderen.

Wat een super restaurant. De entourage, de smaken, de wijn, de passie van het vak als kok en natuurlijk het eten. Wij hadden al tijdens het Alkmaar culinair een aantal gerechtjes geproefd. Dus een tafel gereserveerd. Voorgerechten waren Vitello tonnato, tonijn tartaar, insalata caprese en salmone e pergola. Hoofdgerechten risotto ai frutti di Mare, en risotto con ferdure, pasta del fionrno en gnocchi met een heerlijke groente vlees mix en ravioli met spinazie. De huiswijn fiano uit Puglia was de top combi. Nagerecht tiramisu Roberto. Wat was het een eetfeest. Wij gingen als laatste weg. Hebben nog een tijd met de eigenaar gesproken. Wat een passie heeft die man. Mooie tips over eten. Nooit geweten dat je de pasta niet met olie moet bewerken omdat het dan zou plakken Als je dat wel doet neemt de pasta de smaken van het gerecht niet meer op omdat de olie de pasta, zeg maar, afsluit. Wij zijn fan en komen zeker terug.

We had a very nice evening at Mamma Peppino last week. This is not your average restaurant. No, this is not a Pizzeria. This is like eating with an Italian family in their own dining room! Mischa, the hostess welcomed us and explained the concept to us. First we got treated on a good selection of antipasti, like bruschetta, cheese, salamis and grilled vegetables. After that Chef Peppino came and explained what he had freshly bought that day. I chose to have pasta with slivers of veal. My wife had a very nice risotto. All very tasty and well presented.The wine and desert was good and the overall atmosphere was one of warmth and familiarity.We will return for sure and I would recommend my friends to check out Mamma Peppino. The place to be if you are looking for something different.We will return!

Indeed a true Italian restaurant, with proper antipasti, primi, secondi and dolci. Not a very extensive menu, but all dishes are made fresh. Bread served is a bit old, and not of the right quality.We had carpaccio of veal and beef. Nice and tender. Well prepared. This was followed by risotto (indeed good risotto, not the standard reboiled rice you normally get) and ravioli. Finally some gambas (which were not cleaned, however no bowl of water was served to clean your hands...) and fish 5 (well prepared). They had some very nice matching wines with it, served in small glasses so possible to drive back.Overall very nice price/quality.

Pizzas are always delicious, crispy dough and good products on top, pasta are wonderful. Nice antipasti to share if you're an item. Going there for many years, and quality level is consistent. Friendly staff, cost atmosphere. All in all, a ver good address if you're looking for a good Italian restaurant!
