We had dinner here tonight and while the friendly manager and wait staff were welcoming and attentive, the food was very average for a Texel strandpavillon. They offer typical beach restaurant fare including a trio fish (it was undercooked and sent back, we received another entire dish made again), a tasty sliptong, typical eet cafe style spare ribs, lamb burger (was undercooked and also sent back), kids meals, steak and fries, etc. The view is fantastic, the wood burning stove was gezellig and the deck terrace offers great views. The restaurant is clean and service was friendly and attentive. Overall most of the beach restaurants offer more or less the same menus catered to German and Dutch tourists to Texel.

We serve one menu of at least 4 courses (saturday starting at 5 courses) with only the ingredients that we really support. Our appetizers and dishes are inspired by the seasons, what the island offers us and vegetables have the leading role. The meat, fis
Whilst holidaying on Texel, we celebrated our wedding anniversary with our two boys (aged 9 and 13) by introducing them to fine din8ng in Kook Atelier. They were a little nervous beforehand, partly at the thought of experimenting with food and partly because we don't speak Dutch. As we entered the restaurant, any fears were quickly dispelled as our waitress greeted us in excellent English and went out of her way to make us all feel at home. We went for a six course 'surprise' menu, with added amuse bouches. We were not disappointed; every course was made from fresh, local produce and was presented with beauty, style and in one course humour (a delicious seafood dish served in a sardine tin!)The taste combinations were exquisite, with parsley sorbet, served with strawberries in multiple forms, a real surprise hit! The service was also exceptional, the waitress and chef going out of their way to ensure we all got the most out of our meal. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys a truly fine dining experience. Thank you. Thank you so much for this wonderfull review, hope to see you again!

As being raised at the beach, I am familiar with Dutch beaches. This place an beach is one of the best I visited on Texel. It has the facilities you need; beach pit, small snack bar, lifeguard and a great beach. The restaurant is well maintained and has a nice flow. We have had good lunch here.Good service, although a bit slow, however the menu and the quality of food is good.Toilets are clean and there is free fast wifi. In the beach you can rent beach chairs and tents, something I have not seen on Texel before.Only downside is that you need to walk approx 600m from the car parking. Of course you can reach this place easily by bike.Check out my other reviews as well! I am part of the 1% most influenceable reviewers on tripadvisor.

Nice restaurant, ideal for families and parties.Has an excellent and really creative kitchen
This restaurant received a lot of publicity in magazines about Texel (which you can find on the ferry), but I found the food pretty average. The lambstew I had wasn't of great quality (lots of chunks of fat in the stew, that's not how lambstew is supposed to be) and the French fries were too salty (please leave the choice of putting salt on the fries tot the customer... why else would you put a salt shaker on the table?). We also had a TX gin tonic there which was good.

We visited in October after having read the reviews on Trip Advisor and were not disappointed. Definitely recommend this place. The ambiance was excellent, warm and friendly, subtle and tasteful decor without being overly formal. Comfortable tables and chairs, a decent size and not too close together so you can feel like you are having a private dinner without being abandoned. The service was outstanding. Richard (?) and the others who served us did an excellent job. Attentive and friendly without being intrusive. We never had to wait long for anything but did not feel rushed or pushed. A difficult balance to strike and the team did great.Food was delicious. Simple well cooked ingredients including Texel local produce and traditional recipes. Portion size was great. Not too small and not too large. Good vegetarian choices.Weâll be back.

Restaurant is located in a street full of pubs. We had a ribeye and a tournedos. We ordered it both rare. It was served rare with a jacked potatoe and chips. And.....a very big cook knife which was amazingly sharp. The taste was wonderful. A a dessert we wanted a coffee and just a scope of ice... Was not on the menu but it was no problem to serve it. Wonderful restaurant. Should have 6 stars.

Restaurant Wambinge is named after the oldest village on Texel. Characteristic is the warm atmosphere and the fantastic location by the water. Here you definitely taste the heart of authenticity. The power of simplicity reflects in the tasty dishes. Resta
Dined in this restaurant twice in one week. I think that says enough. Pure quality food together with a very motivated staff that gave us a good service. I had lamb (perfect), my wife had fish (Dorade, excellent). This restaurant deserves the highest qualification. If I have the give one improvement advice: be more generous with vegetables.

Kleinschalig visrestaurant: in intieme huiskamersetting dineren. Ons menu bestaat voornamelijk uit vis maar ook een aantal lokale vlees- en vega-gerechten. We maken graag gebruik van eerlijke en streekgebonden producten. Onze gerechten zijn puur van smaak
The service and atmospherewere both quite good, but the food was absolutely outstanding. The combinations aren't spectacular -there's nothing new about texel gray shrimp with a cocktailsauce- but this was simply delicious. The fish were fresh, the sauces great and most importantly: everything was in balance. Even the side dishes were great, especially the rhubarb really stood out. All combined it was a really delicate, delicious meal.
