The restaurant is located in a residential neighborhood of Hilversum and has been in a family business for 35 years. The Chardonnay was of high quality and served at the correct temperature. The fare that needed warmed constantly was placed on small stoves that kept the food warm throughout the two hour meal. The house was full for dinner so the service was really kept stepping keeping everybody happy. The food was spiced lightly but enough for good savoring. This is a bright light of Indonesia in the middle of the Netherlands.

Iâve been there before and eaten very very well.Maybe this time it was my choice on the menu. The amuses bouche are very goodHad a mix of foie gras, scallops, and meat that was fairly good. Beijing duck was poor. Tasteless and hoisin sauce even tasted greasy and felt heavy.Service is impeccable Count on â¬45 per head if you share a starter, have a main course and a couple of Chinese beers. Iâll go back because in the past it has been much better than this......

Friendly staff. Quick service. Good portions but not very authentic. Dishes are tasty but adapted for Northern European taste. Reasonable prices and your pot of Chinese tea is refilled free of charge.

No we will not be visiting this new restaurant again....Some food was out of stock... taste was nothing special.. had to wait a long time for the main course which was quite disappointing looking at the portion size, just like the starter...taste was alright, but really nothing special...Ambiance however was great, restaurant has nice decor...

Take away in Almere Buiten is very good. The babi pang gang is lovely and crisp.Restaurant in Almere Haven: food is good. Seating is too cramped and lighting is awful - no attempt to create some atmosphere and way too bright. Service seemed rushed and impersonal. Too expensive on a weekend for what you get to my opinion. â¬33,- for All you can eat, which means 2 dishes per round and though portions are a bit bigger, it's far less than the average of 5 per round at about 28 euros on weekend, that you get here at other places. I was invited, I'd not go there if I was choosing the restaurant.

A lot of places serve Indonesian food but 'water it down' to accommodate to people who can't handle all the flavors. Makasih is in a league of it's own by not compromising in any way. Here you can get food that you cannot get at any other place. (I'm Indonesian, I should know) The venue has a clear view of the kitchen and the staff show some real Indonesian hospitality. The food tastes great. It sounds weird but you can taste that the staff loves food. The prices are way cheaper than you would expect. If the prices were higher it would still be worth it.I am going to make this a regular spot to have a bite. And I don't even live nearby.

Came here twice on our day trip to Naarden. Its really well located so its easy to spot the restaurant. First we had coffee and hot chocolate with a layer cake - Liked the cake so much that I took another for home. Later we were back here for lunch of burger and fries. Good service and ambiance.

Bussum's Candi Borobudur features in a list of the top 50 Indonesian restaurants in The Netherlands. Deservedly so!This restaurant is beautifully decorated, has charming staff and serves better food than any of the Indonesian restaurants I have tried in Amsterdam.We ordered a rijstafel for four, which was more than enough for five people. Every dish was delicious (and there were lots of them!) A really pleasant evening in Bussum. We will definitely return to the Candi Borobudur.

A friend recommended this restaurant and we were happy that we could make a reservation at the last minute. Fantastic friendly service and explanation about the menu! We enjoyed the food except for one dish, the scallop in broth a big disappointment. We will be back to try some of the other dishes!
