Charming cafe serving breakfast and lunch and famous hand-cut, from-scratch donuts. Coffee is fresh roasted in-house in micro batches.
We ended up getting the bread pudding, orange crunch, and a cranberry muffin. They were all really good. You can see why the line was out the door!

I had the cowboy Cuban panini and my family had the Turkey bacon panini, Cuban panini, and the chicken bacon ranch wrap. We all enjoyed our sandwiches! Each meal also comes with a side and chips. Portions are nicely sized we left feeling full, but not like we overate and spent too much. Overall, I highly recommend this for a place you can sit down and have a quick lunch.

Old Time Ice Cream Parlor, Where your ice cream is served in a real glass with a real spoon for dine in customers. Kids can play with the toy train table while their parents relax and watch the model train run around the ceiling. If you would like to hear the 100 year old player piano, just ask one of the friendly staff and they will glad to turn it on for you!! All while eating the very best ice cream in Fort Myers!!
I've been going to Daddy Dee's for more than thirty years! Yes, that's 3-0 years!
It's had several different owners over that time, some a bit quirky, but it's always consistently had the best ice cream experience in town.
This is truly an old fashioned ice cream shop with a friendly home-town feel. Kind of like a piece of Mayberry in North Fort Myers.
I think one of the reasons for it's longevity is that there have never been major changes to the nothing-fancy, nostalgic interior or the basic ice cream products. If the newest owners maintain that same consistency, they will be there for decades more!
The decor is train-themed so kids of all ages will like watching the model train run around the ceiling while eating delicious ice cream treats.
Daddy Dee's will continue to be my go-to place for ice cream as long as I can toddle in there. I hope it lasts for another 30 years!

Wow! First time trying this restaurant. We waited close to an hour and were seated close to closing time. Just my wife and I. We started off with the crostini. Delicious and huge. Had a couple glasses of wine and then came the main dishes....MoreThank you so much! We really appreciate this.

My partner and I ordered the seafood verona, which was supposed to have lobster in it. It did have several overcooked shrimp, decent small scallops and a lot of generic light red sauce smothering it (ugh) in a pasta. They charged $26.00 for this dish. We also ordered the black grouper special, for $29.00, which came with a decent sized piece of OVERCOOKED fish over a bed of spaghetti containing a few capers. Completely tasteless and disappointing. The pasta soup was very tasteful, but that was the only redeeming part of the meal. Service was slow and the place was packed. If we ever went back it would be for a more generic and appropriately priced plate such as a parmesan dish. You cannot really screw that up!

I took my teenage granddaughters here for lunch, and they are already making plans to return during Spring Break! Absolutely charming! Kim, our server, explained the menu, including the various tea offerings. We selected a variety of sandwiches, salads, and scones, and they were all delicious. Everything was fresh and beautifully presented. We chose the never-ending pot of tea, and enjoyed all the flavors we tried. The girls have already decided that next time we will try the 3-tiered high tea. It is beautiful! Do go here if you're in or near Ft. Myers. And call ahead for reservations!

I had the Queen size Fish and chips. The cod was excellent, succulent, just like it is in Newfoundland. The batter was thin and didn't detract from the fish.
The French fries are thick cut and my preference is for thinner, crispier fries but that just me.

Inside it is a simple restaurant with good service from a group of servers. I ordered the pineapple curry with shrimp, which was a red curry and had the most delicious sauce. My boyfriend got spicy beef basil and also loved his dish. The portions were large and the spring rolls were also good. My only tiny complaint is that I was hoping for praram curry but they don't serve it. We'll go back to Phensri in the future.

We stopped at the Nauti Parrot yesterday. Place was full and rocking. a little disappointed to be served drinks in cheap plastic cups, although other tables on the patio did have regular glassware. Our waitress Desiree was great, a fun girl and very helpfull.
Ordered the Eat & peel shrimp. Disappointment. Very bland & tasteless and obviously fresh..ly defrosted.Seafood dip very horseradishy. We also mordered the Tuna appetiser. Again, it lacked any real taste. The dressing was a nothing dressing. Only spicy bit was the wasabi ball plonked on top which had obviously been kneaded to a ball by hand.
A fun place to socialise but the food lacks imagination, and most other dishes are deep fried.

We had dinner here last night for the first time. We have lived in the area for a number of years and have driven by hundreds of times. We should have driven by this time. The decor is "cheap tourist". The restaurant needs a refresh badly. The food was a total turn off. My fish was way overcooked, my wife's fried food was very greasy. a side with my meal was forgotten. The server was pleasant, but we constantly had to wave her down for service. Just another restaurant that preys on the tourist trade. Go across the river to Pinchers if you want to sit on the river and have a decent reasonable seafood meal with your family.
