We went to Rock Taphouse at the Dakota Square Mall around six oâclock on a Sunday. The mall was closed. It was not busy. We were seated in a large booth in the middle â open style booth - with the bar area on one side of us and dining area on the other (tables & chairs seating). The booth was very roomy for three people. We shared three appetizers â onion rings, nachos, boneless wings. The basket of onion rings was a large serving -- onion rings were huge and crispy â perfect! The nacho (pub style) were good but all the shredded lettuce on top made it messy to eat. Bourbon flavour boneless chicken were large pieces, full of flavour, served with ranch and blue cheese dips. It was a lot of food so we could not finish everything. We were pleased with the service and the food.
Quaint little bar that mostly serves beer and some wine. Not a hopping kinda place, but a great place to stop for a drink and talk.

The deal I ordered was done as I requested but taste was unremarkable. The shrimp was slathered in a hot sauce thst actually detracted from its taste. The asparagus side was tough and stemmy. The broccoli was good but both sides were served cool. Actually the garlic bread, that was quite good by the way, was the warmest of all the food I was served. Cabernet was OK. Service was fine.Popcorn served instead of bread or rolls. Nice touch.Lots if empty spaces in the place but all diners seemed to be crammed together. This is the resturaunt for the Holiday Inn. It is attached by a long hallway. Nice on a cold, windy winter night. All in all unremarkable.

If you go in there on a night when there is any good sporting event, all the seats are filled and it is noisy. The bar food is good. If it is a little quieter, the bartenders do an amazing job of pairing a customer to a craft beer they will like. I will go back there!

If they'd bring back the lemon butter...whatever it was, dipping sauce, this place would be king. The tartar (made in-house) is delicious, but that other dipping sauce was INSANE. The walleye bites are tasty on their own, don't worry - you won't want to share. Super staff, not too noisy, parking usually right outside the door.

When we walked into the restaurant, it had the feeling of energy and fun. The wait staff was fast, accurate and fun. The menu was broad and the beer selection was good. We were served our entree's quickly and they were large potions. We went back there again on our stay in Minot.
