We were traveling from the mountains back to Charlotte and stopped in here for lunch. We had to wait a few minutes for a table but it was worth it. Good home-cooked food and quick service. I had a chicken salad sandwich and my husband had the Philly cheese steak. Both came with fries. Everything was good but the fries were nice and crispy, delicious! I'd recommend a stop here if you are in the area.

I personally love their bakery items because its all gluten free. And basically its all I ever buy. The food...well too woo woo for me. But others like it. I'm into more plain simple food without all the spices and such. Its a hoping busy place. Folks at counter are really sweet. As usual not enough parking as with most anything around this area. Thank you for the straightforward review! The next time you're in, ask the server for a simple recommendation. Of course, you can always stick to the bakery items; there are so many great things to choose from. :) See you soon.

The Gourmet Chip Company makes hand-made, artisan chips like you've never had and Hot Pressed Sandwiches. We serve old fashioned sodas and ice cold beer. Located in downtown Asheville on Broadway Street.
BBQ chips are tremendous, and we also like several of the more gourmet flavors. The sandwiches are also very good--if you could put the bacon/cheese from the grilled cheese here with the bread from Well-Bred's version of that sandwich, you'd quite possibly have the best grilled cheese ever. We've had a couple experiences with somewhat indifferent and/or surly employees, which is unfortunate. Great location downtown walkable to everything else downtown Asheville has to offer.

We happened upon Cafe 64 early one morning as they were opening. The employees were attentive and the breakfast was delicious. My husband had the french toast which was made with a blueberry muffin sliced horizontally. It also had homemade sausage and maple syrup. I snuck a bite and it was yummy!! I had the scramble and it was also delicious. Lucky break finding this place on our morning walk.

Excellent breakfast or brunch, with mimosas! Eggs Benedict was excellent. Adorable decor, quite charming and cozy. The only bummer is that itâs packed on weekends and in the summer tourist season and thereâs often a long wait for a table. If you are a local, come during the shoulder seasons and in the dead of winter in a weekday.

Been about 18 months since we ate here last - wife and I stopped in for lunch on a SAT. She had the basic burger, I had the sesame chicken salad - both very good.

I had heard of this place but finally visited on my list trip to Asheville. Why did I wait so long!there is a good chance you will have a wait for your table but coffee and pleasant surroundings are provided. Our server took non- standard orders from our party of 9 from memory. No mistakes! The food was all freshly cooked and serving size allowed us to remember the place once again when having a late night snack. AND you can bring your dog!

We moved here recently and have eaten here a number of times. Sometimes it has been wonderful and others not so much. So we figured, you have to know whatâs really good and stick with that. We love supporting local family owned businesses and places that try. We are still working our way through the menu, but so far we can wholeheartedly recommend the fried catfish - fresh, light, excellent - and the first rate hand pattied hamburgers made from local grass fed beef. We had a great bbq sandwich too. Far too good, however, are the home made desserts. The chef regularly makes several pies and cakes, and some of them rank up there with high end expensive bakery fare. Home made pecan pie or a slice of apple or carrot cake were way beyond good. The service is always charming if you have a soft spot for high schoolers learning on the job, which we have. Their desire to please is high. Not sure where the reviewer who complained about parking ate, but it couldnât have been here? Itâs a big, convenient lot for a smallish place on the main road through town and we usually park right by the door. The wooden pew seats and the old photos of local places and people give it a homely feel. We like it and come back often.
